I just got back from Egypt and the Valley of the Kings and it was one of the highlights of the trip. The tomb of Seti I was open and it has been closed to the public, for many years. There was an extra fee required for Seti's tomb, which was 1,000 egp, or about $ 63-$ 64. I would have paid three times that, to go into that tomb. It was extraordinary. There were only three people, besides myself and the guardian, in the tomb. It is the best preserved tomb in the Valley. I actually cried, after I came out.

I got stopped by a guy who pressed a carved stone ankh into my hand, and wouldn’t take it back saying I owed him money... I ended up paying him because his mates started gathering round me and the people I was with had walked off.... it broke, it was only pressed talc, not stone...
You also can’t take a ride, without the driver taking you to a few family owned shops either!
Also, a lot of tourists are so disrespectful..... one guy dumped his bag on a tomb to rifle through.... people sitting on the floor leaning their sweaty backs on the beautiful walls... it was unbelievable.
I was glad to leave. The only good thing about Egypt are the sites, and food.
Idk about you but usually drivers don't drift off the path they should take , mainly because that's kidnapping you're talking about lmao. That simply doesn't happen.. If it happened to u then guess its your luck
Hoodie in Egypt is crazy
if you're still in egypt you should deifintely visit sharm elsheikh or hurghada
These were the treasures found in the small tomb of the relatively obscure young Tut. Imagine the treasures larger tombs of mighty kings like Ramsis II must have had.
Hey Cody , don't they have audio guides?
I was there around 1982 and there wasn’t any charge to go in Tuts tomb. At least I don’t remember. Great video. Thanks!
I was there in 92 and no charge 3 tickets any tombs you like .
Maybe I did pay to get in but I don’t remember spending so much money? And I got to go into Tuts actual tomb! Can’t do that today.
I can spend there a week Totally awesome
It would be interesting, see more, these things, giant statues. Not disregarding the historical facts. But it's hard to see the giant monuments up close.
i just watched three of your videos and that's crazy coz it's all amazing bro keep 💪
It is worth it,!
dude your not allowed to take photos in the tombs.... the tombs and images of them are copyrighted under Egyptian law. Thats why they want there bribes because you are breaking the rules, pay 300 Egyptian pounds and you get the pass to film and take photos in all of them.
Matt that is true👍
@@mohamedelgezawy4087 It's cheaper to pay the bribes than the pass though, if you have the right banknotes and are not an idiot. I've heard people say the bribe can be like 10-20 pounds, so if you only go to 3 tombs, that is 30-60 instead of 300. He was an idiot because he paid the photo ticket and also the bribe. You can also pay the guard 50 pounds to not stamp the ticket and visit more tombs
Thanks Cody sounds like they nickel and dime you!! Beautiful places tho!!!!!
Sweet!
I'm tryna keep up on your videos Damn!!!. I'm gonna watch it today!. Since don't have work today.

Marwa gamal hahhahah are you out of your mind!! The tourism police! They are part of the problem!

Wow thank you for the video Cody...really interesting stuff. :) -patty
130 to see all of that is not that bad.
It could be worst. Trust me, locals will see you like walking ATM's. I've been there and he got ripped off badly.
Before going to Egypt learn some of their history so you'll find which Tombs to go to. Egypt is an amazing country to travel
but nice will not go a long way with the locals.
thats too much indeed. All of the other worders of the world are a fifth of that price. complete rip off.
I love how you think $130 is expensive for what you got. That's an insanely good bargin.
