- Van De Beek joins Everton on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season. He is a good team player with great technique and awareness, he always makes good runs into the empty space and gives quick one touch passes so the attacking flow doesn't get disrupted, but why is he always overlooked by his teammates?!

Two things very noticeable - we have midfielders like Mctominay who have no awareness which players r around him and open for a pass , then we have forwards like Rashford who r busy trying to do everything on thier own instead of clever give n go’s which will actually put them in a better position to receive the ball from Vdb . And finally players like Pogba and even Bruno who want to pass the final ball themselves
With the amount of times these players have kept their tendencies i wonder why no coach had a boot flying. The pc times have ruined football
@@doggomcd Pep, Klopp and all the other world class managers seem to be able to keep their squads perfectly in line in these "PC times". Even Sir Alex wasn't the kind to explode, if anything his silent disapproval or a derisive comment here and there kept big egos in check more effectively than raging ever could. Not every problem in the world can be blamed on current times being "soft".

Yes Mctominay is like shit mid-fielder who have no awarness or clue who is next to him and so he try do stupid skills to lose the ball then. Then have Rashford who as striker try do skill to get through and make goal, but typically lose ball, when could pass to teamate in better position and then then Pogba and Bruno just want to make the final pass to Rashford to get the assist, so all these players got somewhat childish arrogance to play like this and this is reason then, that ManUnited is not doing so well.
He actually found some great space in those clips. I hate when that happens when you are always looking for good space and then your teammates decide to ignore you and instead pass to you in dumb situations. Then they'll be first to cry about you losing the ball 🤦🏽♂️ That's what was one of the things that pissed me off the most when I was playing for a club
They don't put the ball in front of you when you are sprinting towards a goal, yet they always find a way to throw a brick your way when you are standing among 4 opposing players.

I've watched him closely from his Ajax days, here's what I observed. He's not flashy, but simple, efficient, and effective, keeps the team ticking. His movements with and without the ball, positional awareness, knack of finding spaces, and defensive abilities are his strengths. His greatest strength, watch him closely, without ball, continously scans the pitch, thereby able to make those incisive passes instantly without looking. I'm not surprised he was not successful in ManU. Hardly played, that too out of position, no support from the team full of egos. Imo, VDB is a fantastic player, sometimes plays similar to Declan Rice - another player I watched for long time and admire. Everton must sign VDB permanently plus a solid hard-running DM and what a team it would be with Richi, DCL and AG upfront. Sorry for long post!
Declan rice does not have the passing vision like Donny, Donny is one touch passer , he lets the ball do the work and won't carry it for long, which is what man utd need , rice can pass too of course but it's more to get rid of it , although of late he has been making runs further up the pitch and linking up play.

You should do one of these for Sancho too. The number of runs he makes in behind or when he's in miles of space free, and it's like Shaw has been paid not to pass to him. He'll opt 9/10 times to go backward or crossfield pass to nobody turning over possession.
Bruno too will just shoot anywhere within 40 yards rather than play Sancho in, it's infuriating. Sancho and VdB thrive with creative players around them, dynamic movement and intelligent passing. Utd are a headless chicken without an effective system.

This guy is good in finding spaces and also very good in killer passes. He always takes 1 to 3 touches only, always released the ball quick and effective. Maybe bruno can play at rashford's place and put him at no. 10 spot. Rashford(mr. please pass the ball) always tryin to dribble but most likely failed 😪.

The difference between him and Bernardo Silva is that Silva can dribble and hold the ball if needed. Van de Beek is more of a passer who builds up the play, so I really think he should have a central position.

He'll keep the ball passing around and seem like he's not doing too much and then *bang* all of a sudden there is an attack through the middle with vdB involved. At least that was what I felt when he played for Ajax.

Ole was lost in his approaches to modern football and everythings around him. RR is not prepare to stir the pot too much with Champion Leaque in mind. Major change will happen this summer

Donny is good. His technique is functional and he always manages to speed up the plays with inteligent runs and fast passes. That run and pass he gave today at the 1-0 at Everton i've seen him do that 100 times before. What a waste of his talent this last years....
VDB is perfect in a fast paced, pass-and-move team like Ajax or Dortmund, where everyone works as a unit. Sancho also thrives in that kind of environment. Unfortunately to create such a team takes a lot of training from a coach that knows exactly what he's doing, which is basically the exact opposite of Ole. Feel really sorry for VDB, MUFC was never the right move for him.

It's like Puig's condition as he's too quick with his one touch , ball control , pressing & other players aren't of that level, especially under Koeman. it's a game of rhythm & Puig is what Older Barcelona players were during Pep's. A lethal player but rest of the pieces needs to be like him too to make the plan work just like every other team. Either you blend the player in your style or you play according to the styles of players , United failed to do the both. Rangnick can't do Magic

Van de beek can do great things when playing and its the coaches fault to just play with fred and mctominay. Puig on the other hand does not have such an impact on the game. Its a great player and i hope i will be wrong but i think sub top clubs will be better suited for him.
@@zem0104 what tuchel did is actually really subjective based on CL campaign & are doing just good in the league this season with many many better teams overall. Had the easiest route with no potential winner to face untill the final which is a one leg game & anything can happen. Playing counters is well suited in UCLs but not for long term. Coming to players again, No tuchel can't do anything even at United due the difference between the players. Lampard wasn't doing bad with the squad either just lack of experience after loses made him bamboozled
it's very strange that MUFC have the players but the 3 most recent managers refuse to play them together. If they played Wan Bissaka, DVB and Sancho together (Sancho in front of AWB), they would get the best out of those players because they are used to playing with a quick transition. Under Ole, united played an inverted 4-2-3-1 with Maguire the 1, bringing out the ball and the 4 camping on the edge of the opponents' box. This is why they were so vulnerable to the counter. The rigid defensive 2 from both Ole and Rangnick, featuring the undroppable Mctominay, means that a pass or run from the opposite midfielders or wide players is immediately under pressure. Mctominay's poor game awareness means he rarely appears where the ball is, both on attack and defence. Instead of sitting in the "hole" in front of the defenders to make himself available for a pass, he hides behind the opposing players, forcing the backs to pass the ball sideways.
I knew I wasn’t going crazy. He rarely gets any minutes so if by some miracle he’s actually on the pitch my eyes are homed onto him. He always makes good runs but always gets ignored.
When you have players like mctominay and fred who can’t pass a ball through the lines or even pass it forward at all then getting into the positions he does is pointless, then two wouldn’t even start for Brighton they are shit
This is an indictment of the players more than anything else. They simply don’t have the quality to see the right pass. Either that or they’re playing for themselves. Take McTominay as an example, he can’t dictate the pace of the game or spray 50/60 yard passes over the field, yet he gets all the plaudits and praise, which augments the problem. If he’s seen as a future captain and is a mainstay in the centre of midfield then we won’t be challenging for the title anytime soon.

The way he challenges for the ball and how his quick feet keeps the ball before passing it immediately, it reminds me a bit of Scholes. And at 2:02 he's aware that Bruno is nearby so he's moving away to create space and another option for Matic. Very clever and not static unlike many players.

I watched him throughout his whole ajax carreer. For me his best strength was (how vague this might sound): he was always in the right place, at the right time. His best feature without a doubt is hist positioning, his scanning of the game, and his attacking abilities.

We have been crying out for a pivot man who can read the game, tackle, receive the ball and use one or two touches to keep it moving. Yet this man was sat on the bench for a year and a half in favor of McFred….. Self inflicted injuries right there
Van de been has got vision and positioning sense but most of united players doesn't especially the attackers like rashford and greenwood. Shaw, bruno, pogba, ronaldo got that vision and positioning but ronaldo is quite slow sometimes but you can't argue his positioning. Many times their selfishness takes over.

Seriuosly! What was he thinking going into that club? What were they all thinking (Frenkie de Jong, Matias de Licht...)? No way they could have learn more than they did in Ajax. Ajax smashed clubs like Real, Juve etc. and they did it with a bunch of juveniles. So many of the greatest players in Europe are from Ajax's school. Ibrahimovic, Suarez, Christian Eriksen... The only lucky one is Ziyech.
Only thing i can blame VD Beek is that he chose Man.United, with AJAX He and players like, Frenkie, Tadic, Ziyech, Neres, played better tikkitakka than Barcelona in those years 2017, 18, 19. United was not good for Donny VD Beek, maybe now with Ten Hag it will be better.
