Esse Antony é outro jogador se comparar com a fase da carreira dele no SPFC. Eu lembro que os torcedores ficavam p... da vida com ele pq o cara não sabia finalizar, era só recuo de bola pro goleiro adversário. Ele sempre foi muito talentoso, insinuante, quebrador de linhas, etc, mas o que ele amadureceu no Ajax é um absurdo. O cara é um dos melhores em atividade na posição dele. That's why it's so hard to tell if a young prodigy is actually good by how they play against slower players. It's hard to know if they truly have the acceleration and foot speed to make it at the highest level.

He played in an "inferior" league which is the Portuguese League. Antony is a guy full of potential and has the skills to back it up. He is already a big part of the National Team, and is being considered by Liverpool as replacement for Salah, he is also being considered for Barcelona as well, and countless other big clubs.

He should stay another year at Ajax, or atleast till the WC. He is not yet at the level of Ziyech or Suarez in their final years at Ajax and can perhaps climb to another level in a situation where he gets a lot of opportunities to practice his skillset, which is at Ajax who is competing against a strong Psv and Feyenoord + in Champions League. He did improve in becoming important in the crucial matches last half year. Hope he will be able to continue on that line and then peak at the WC. As before he lacked the impact of the aforementioned predecessors on the wings. Leaving to a big team now might mean that he will have struggles in the last months of WC preparation, as I think he is getting better while at Ajax currently. (last home game goal against Feyenoord, the decider, he can still do that more often at Ajax and become a big star for the team before leaving)
Although as a Dutch football fan I have a little bias and wish he will carry Ajax in CL next season, as he has just started showing that he can be a carrying player for them. That + his creative skills and speed make for an exciting prospect. And for Ajax that development + WC exposure may mean higher selling price. Hope van der Sar and Huntelaar will agree
