I agree... I don't know why people gave you thumbs down for telling the truth. This song is supposed to be heart wrenching but i don't feel that with her version. Her voice is lovely but the pain isn't there behind her eyes like it should.
I love her singing here. NO ONE else can sing this exquisite song like she does (and I just finished drying my eyes and blowing my nose). BUT: I have to say, I don't like her videos. When the lyrics mention "snow", fake snow suddenly starts falling. When it's "leaves", prop leaves blow in the door. Oy vey, it's just too obvious! I am sure "leaves" are meant to symbolize the life cycle: they burst out green, mature, turn vivid colors, dry out, die. I think Sondheim would hit his head on the wall.
But in all fairness, it's very difficult for such a surgically enhanced face to show emotion. Maybe his is why Barbra has always resisted the temptation.
One of my fave Sondheim songs...I love Cleo
Cleo sounds and looks so lovely...a true original...always sounds like no one else.
Beautiful -- as always! Thank you.
i DO love CLEO!!!!! greatest!!!!
Can we say: "PERFECTION?"

Would love to know what these were from? Time frame?
Great stuff!

From Evening Primrose by Sondheim. Beautiful but I miss the dynamics of the song a bit in this rendition.
I agree the 'props' were silly. Whoever suggested it didn't appreciate the sense of the song and reduced the song's poignancy.

I'm not feeling her. She seems to be struggling mimicking Barbra's difinitive version on her Christmas Memories Album and it doesn't even come close.
Hilarious comment considering this video and album was recorded 13 years before Babs effort.
