Fun fact: even naneinf won't be enough eventually. At ante 39, the scaling breaks and the target score also becomes naneinf, and the game will not count you as beating the ante regardless of your score. That, then, is the true end of the game.
Reminds me of the "last" level of the Donkey Kong arcade game, where the timer becomes too short to even reach the top of the first level.

I wasn't even playing the game, and I started to get angry with that Mime. I can't imagine how frustrated Roffle must've felt, staking an hour and a half of content on one damn joker to spawn, lol.
The other run with the Death not appearing in the shop was also pretty frustrating too. Could have been a more fun run with it.

So, I did some math. Each king in hand provided 12 seperate X1.5 multipliers to the starting mult of 19. 12 times the number of cards in hand, 178, is 2136. So, were left with 19 x 1.5^2136. Put that with the additional +10, X1.5, X1.5, X837, and X91.75 from the mult, polycrome, and latter two jokers, and we have our final mult. Multiply the base 205 chips (which never changes since the king was initially scored) and our grand total is:

So I counted 131 commas in there so 3 x 131 + 1 = 394 numbers in there or as the game would have calculated it according to the number you got [9.076e391] (that is if I counted the commas correctly I lost track of a comma or 2 like 4 different times lol)
that is a beyond comically high number, like nobody would even put that many characters in if they wanted a number so high its funny.
9.076e391 is such an absurdly large number. Like beyond comprehension large. To put into the closest relevant context i can think of, there are approximately 10^82 atoms in the universe. If you were an being capable of creating our universe atom by atom, even your power is fundamentally meaningless compared to that number. LOL
Thought about it a little more and this being wouldn’t just have to create another few universes to match that number. Because of exponents they would have to create 10^308 more universes to match that number. LMAO

This is a pretty niche maths tip that not many players are going to have to make use of - but at 1:20:20 when you had 6.6e36 and you needed 9.2e36, you can cancel out the e numbers so you had 6.6/9.2 score and you didn't need to create any more cards in your hand - one more play of the same hand would have got you to (roughly) double which would be approx. 13.2e37
One of the things on my mind when you got off of DNA was that any time it triggered, not only was it putting more red seal kings in the deck, it was putting two in your hand for your Baron. So even without needing more in the deck it still resulted in more Red Stamp Steel King Go Brrr.

they should store numbers in doubles instead of floats (e308 instead of e38) and if that's not enough, they should make their own numbers, 1 double to store the base, and another to store the exponent, so you would have to beat 10 to the (10 to the 308) in order for it to become infinite

I just tried this seed before watching the video. I did things a little different than you and ended up losing to the ante 13 boss because I forgot to reroll it, but I had gotten the mime in shop an ante or two before that. I wonder why it was different.

Yeah only way to use ankh later in runs feasibly is with eternal jokers in the mix then ankh can become really, really broken if all your jokers are eternal since with perkeo copying ankh this way you are actually just going to break the game I would wager since you can ankh multiple times per round and end up with hundreds of jokers since what you would do since legendary jokers can't be eternal AFAIK you'll stack a ton of ankh's to eventually copy eternal DNA and/or baron's and such. Then you could get naneif multiple hands until the ante limit is reached.

Your computer was having trouble drawing all that visual noise, not multiplying numbers.
I suspect the lag is overdraw from the cards (it's rendering the full card for each).

I believe having the blueprint copy mime an brainstorm copy baron would of given you that little bit extra, not 100% sure on that but i think that woulda worked out slightly better

I think it lagged because the amount of draw calls it had to do to display the 80+ cryptids/170+ kings, not the deck size.
Sadly, I'm not familiar with the engine Balatro was made with. So I can't justify this properly. If you do, please tell if I'm correct or not.

I wish you'd kept going! I think even just the steel/hologram multiplier would have kept you through another 3-4 antes, no? The hologram should be around 100x mult, and the steel should be at 200x, which should easily take you to beyond e37?

I did keep it going and the deck fell of immediately as I was net negative on Cryptids evens with the big Steel Joker and Hologram. Baron and Mime were still doing all the heavy lifting.

Is there a reason to not grab the aura in any of the shops and start duping a foil, poly, or holo. Obviously it is wildly unnecessary, but I do think it would’ve been funny having a whole hand of poly kings (as kings usually were back in the day).

I'm not too sure what you mean but there's not really anything like the isaac item pools in the game, if you want a detailed explanation on how the shop and pack rng works check the channel "balatro university", specifically the "banan-e-inf" video uploaded recently, he explains it quite well, I'll try to summarize it in another reply since it's quite a long video and I don't remember exactly the timestamp for the explanations (though they are quite early, that much I know) but I'll be going by memory so it might not be entirely correct
Yes and no? Certain Jokers can only appear under specific circumstances (enhancement-based ones like Lucky Cat, Steel Joker, and Glass Joker can't appear if there are none in the deck, Cavendish can't appear until Gros Michel breaks), Jokers can't repeat without Showman, and consumables can't appear anywhere if it already exists in your inventory. But there is no "Boss Blind pool" or some such - every shop has equal weight.
45:00 The DNA does allow you to play highcard while having +1 handsize full of red seal kings + it makes the conversion to full red seal/99% so much easier. The previous hands you had to discard and didnt even get full king hands at some points.

There is a lot of math behind it but essentially, Balatro can only count so far until it stops and once it stops, instead of showing any number, it just says "naneinf" which is basically "not a number but it's infinite"
@@PlutoDarknight Specifically, it just means infinity. NaNeINF = an unknown number times 10 to the infinite power = Infinity. It simply is how infinity is shown in scientific notation, since the first number can no longer be defined.

Watching you skip aura cards during the mime hunt hurt. Just one poly red seal steel king would have proliferated through your deck quite a bit >.
one singular chance for a 1 in 3 chances to get one singular additional 1.5× on one singular card out of 180+ is not worth the 3 dollars that the aura card costs when you absolutely must reroll aggresively to find a specific joker
@@rajkanishu What makes you think it's one singular chance? You're duping spectral cards and then can proliferate it using the DNA. I do agree that it would set you back by a single reroll, but that could easily save you a few cryptids using the poly later.

ok no I think you are just misunderstanding what polychrome does and thinking it triggers the 1.5× in hand, I don't see how any of this makes sense otherwise

Get the Aura, use it on a king, 2/3 chances it does effectively nothing
If it does hit polychrome, copy the king with DNA and blueprint
so now 3 out of 180+ kings in his deck have one (two with red seal) additional 1.5× multiplier to them but only when played
so after all this the exchange is taking 3$ off the mime hunt, hitting a 33% which when failed sets you back to step one and takes even more money off the mime hunt, then hitting a 2~% to draw any of them for the payoff of basically a slightly worse +1 hand size (because adding a 1.5× with polychrome is the same as adding a king in hand for a baron trigger, actually worse once you have mime because it doesn't get retriggered by it) for one hand and slightly increase that 1~% chance for the rest of the run
so even if he does get perfect RNG for all of these hits and somehow makes it to the point where he's guaranteed to get a polychrome king in every hand, all he gets is a slightly worse guaranteed +1 hand size
compare it to cryptid, which is a guaranteed +2 hand size straight up. and he has 80+ of them
you also mentioned spectral card duping so I assume you also thought of duping the Aura but to do that he would need to sell or use all the Cryptids and I don't think I need to explain why that's not something he could've done
