Thank you so much. This is one of the Sitka flannels. I have a hanful of them in different colors. Sitka flannels are some of my favorite flannel shirts. I think they are synthetic fabric, not cotton. Super comfortable.
4" in and under, magnacut every time for better edge retention. 3V for larger blades, they're more likely to be used as choppers and edge retention isn't as important.
Thank you for your input, why do you think edge retention is not as important for chopping knives. The larger blades have more surface area so are going to take longer to sharpen...
@@WardogOutdoors Do you have a chef knife's edge on an axe or kukri? Nope. A chopper will chop regardless if it can shave or jaggedly cut. When it's time to touch up the blame, an extra couple minutes is irrelevant.
@@blacklabel99able mine did not dull easy. Super steel dulls just like any other steel but does not dull as fast as cheaper steals. Magnacut is one of the more premium steels you may encounter when choosing a knife. It may not be the hardest steel out there, but you get the stainless qualities so there is less of a chance of having a rusty knife. These are great quality knives.
@@WardogOutdoors And it's more than tough enough to handle 99.99% of tasks. But the simple fact with magnacut is that not all of the companies using it can properly heat treat it. I have a few magnacut blades and there is a notable performance and edge retention difference. MKC's quality and heat treat is unrivaled. Benchmade chips and dulls quickly because it's mass produced crap, for example. The BK76 limited edition is ok, but not in the realm of MKC. So on and so on.
Wish there was more testing and less talking. That Arkansas stone will not be able to actually cut the carbides in magnacut. If the knife ever gets actually dull you won’t be able to sharpen it on natural abrasives.
Great video! Beautiful knives and the scenery. What shirt is that? I've been after something like that.

If their knife and magnacut dulls that easy is it really a "super steel"?

Thank you for your input, lets me know what some of my viewers are interested in. I will aim for more testing in future content.
