I've just sat here and cried.. Nick picked up his guitar and I started crying. I need the sun the sea and quiet times along with the freedom and ability to find new places and things to do. I don't know how much longer I can stay in the 9 to 5 and have holidays cancelled due to Covid. I need new places to go and people to meet.
Crocodile Dundee and Neighbours! Love it. I personally liked Skippy. He would bound up and utter a few sounds. The ranger would then say , “ What Skippy ? The kids are trapped down a mine. Second level , third tunnel on the right. We will get right on it! “ Enjoy the serenity you two.👍😀
Such stunning scenery. I enjoy this a lot. Reminds me of my trips where I take the good music like the Guns N Roses, Imagine Draongs or the Delta Parole and then enjoy the powerful feeling of the sea. ¡vamos!
I just bought a pair of 10-42 Nikon Prostaff binos from Amazon and I love them! Crisp image, waterproof, easy focus, and easy on the budget! Cheers Bryan from Vancouver
OUTSTANDING series, Patrick O'Brian, Captain Jack Aubrey - he never breaks vernacular in 18 novels! I highly recommend it! OK, "The Castle", I had to look it up, watched it and that was one hell of a movie - thank you, I am passing it along to my weekly "It's the Weekend!" email post. Look at that, you are famous! My eyes are still teary. Thank you from the bottom of my heart..
Re binoculars, we had 3 or 4 pairs that we had somehow accumulated over the years, but none of them were much good at sea. When we finally bought our own yacht, Father’s Day came around shortly after so after years of getting sox & jox (or cheap grog) I put the order in for a decent set of binoculars. Well, there must have been guilt aplenty because what I got was a pair of Steiner 7x50s with inbuilt compass and I must say they are absolutely OUTSTANDING! The compass is a brilliant addition that’s really useful and replaces a hand bearing compass. Everyone who uses them goes “wow, what great binoculars,” so do yourself a favour and spend the extra few hundred and get the best. Or preferably, even better, get someone else to buy them for you. I’ll send you $100 towards the cost if you do.
This last year was one of the hardest of my life. Trapped inside my house and trapped inside my mind with the worst depression. But with you guys , sailing uma and the O'Kelly s... I found a bit of inspiration too drag my self of the ground. First small steps like doing the dishes brushing my teeth. I'm crawling upwards , with one goal .... Get on the water! Do you guys have any tips where to start?
Start by joining a local club as a non-boat owner. You will find other sailors inviting you out on their boats maybe just for a day sail or maybe to go racing around the cans in the evening. No experience required - just a desire to learn and help out with the owner's boat. Once you have done, buy a small used sailboat say 20-30' and take some sailing classes too. Start small and if you really like it, you can sell up to a bigger boat. Get outside and let the wind and the water clear your mind ...
As Cedric stated, join a local sailing club. I joined a sailing club very recently, just a few weeks ago in March with zero sailing experience, i then enrolled in a four day 'start crewing' course. Since completion Ive been invited to crew on two boats, today was the final twilight race of the season but the Sunday winter races have just begun. It costs nothing to crew but its good form to offer a donation towards the upkeep of the boat. Im also on anti depressants, its wonderful to feel the cool air on your face while the boat is heeled over among a pack of other boats doing the same thing, its a beautiful sight. Im now in the market for my own yacht, nothing flash, just something thatll get me on the water for some local exploration. Best of luck.
Another serene episode. Ah, the serenity! But seriously guys, you make me smile and laugh and I completely relax when I watch your videos. Many thanks.
I certainly hope that those who are envious of your lifestyle are appreciative of just how much effort, no work is a better word, goes into the planning, recording and editing of these videos let alone the intrusion into your private lives.
When we head to our boat on the Chesapeake, we frequently say that "we're goin' to Bonnydoon!" (did it just today, in fact). "The Castle" is one of our favorite movies (and we're not, alas, Aussies) ... "it's the vibe of the thing."
Nice beautiful video lovely like the song at the end I think you are following in love with the cat love to see how it acts in big waves or white caps like in the pacific ocean you guys take care ok my friends cant wait for the next vid thank you your friend Ben 😊 😀 ☺ 😄 😉 🙂 😊
Grounded self-esteem and an appreciation for the benefits of your experiences is deservedly yours because you dared to pursue and do your dream... Bravo you!
Our fav binocs came from Al’s father who bought Zeis Ikon 10x80 German WWII from a surplus store right after the war ended. Heavy, 15kg, they have a sturdy tripod.with massive swivel.
Just to clarify for anyone watching - the dinghy anchor was under the seat in the Dinghy the entire time - unfortunatley Nick & Teresa never looked there. Phil
I have the Steiner Commander 7x50. It is a very classic marine glass, low magnification, large opening for light gathering. I quite enjoyed it for many years until I upgraded to a Zeiss glass. What a difference that makes in performance as in price :)
I’ve have used a pair of Nikon 7x50 Marine for the last 20 years. What’s great about them is the light gathering ability. Even at night they help find a mark or buoy. High magnification is the antithesis of light gathering so for distance we carry a different pair. I have an old Russian night vision scope that is pretty useless beyond 100 yards.
Nice vibe to this one. Very nice. Great scenery. Liked Nick's, "We know how lucky we are" spiel. Beautiful part of Oz, that. When I travelled Oz much of the outback was largely red earth as hot and dry as Mars, with 100 head-loving flies around at all times. That picnic and beach walking spot looks delightful. Great cat, great vibe, and a great couple. Fair dinkum, mate. Thanks for uploading.
I've always he's binoculars. My dad was big sports fan. At some point he you upgraded to dine bulky but powerful Bushnells. Great viewing grin any seat in the Los Angeles Colesium. Later I got into bird watching and busted the budget on a pair of Leicas. Beautiful clarity. They came with a laser engraved storage box. When I opened the box there was another pair of Leicas, a small theater size pair.
It's great to see you back sailing again and the fun your having making the change from Ruby Rose to a Cat. I can't wait 'till you get your own 1370. By the way, Nicks guitar strumming has inspired me to buy one and I can now sit on my 60ft narrowboat getting sore fingers. Thank you both for your great vlogs.
We have Steiner 7x50 Navigator Pro Binoculars with compass. Best we have ever used. I can't say how happy we are with them other than I bought a 2nd pair as spares. The Steiner Commander series are even better but over €1000 so could not do that as they would end up damaged or list on a boat.
You two are such a lovely couple. Together, in humour, caring and loving respect for each other. Love your content and editing. Stay real. You are truely delightful and unique. Just out there enjoying life unique to yourselves. Love it all. Beautiful sailing vessel to take you on many years of Brilliant adventures together. ❤ Stay safe.
Ahh,the days when we could hold our heads high and be proud to be an Aussie. And know, thanks to OUR betters, the country is well and truly up $hit creek with-out a paddle.

The Castle! What a classic and so Australian. Your vids are just so enjoyable to watch as they're relaxed and laid back and just wonderful to watch. Many many thanks.😎🌬⛵⚓🦘
The Steiner Navigator Pro 7x50 are very good marine binocs. A step up is the Navigator Pro 7x50c with built-in illuminated compass. These are rated pretty highly in the world of binocs and not cheap, but they're built to last a lifetime.
Steiner Navigator 7x50 Binoculars with Compass. Marinised, 50 max mag without shake. Really durable. 10 years on the boat still perfect. Also light enough with no shake for all ages. Expensive, however especially with optics you get what you pay for. Try them.
Nice video guy's, good nautical binoculars are definitely a must have. Another item I believe would be very handy is headsets for both of you for docking, anchoring etc. They call them marriage savers, because it eliminates the yelling. I'm just saying, ha ha. We've all been there my friends. Stay safe, smooth sailing. 👍👍🐾

Just a really good video guys. Your humor and honesty with each other is fun to watch. I was really hoping to see Nick fall off of the paddle board. LOL
A short but sweet episode! I so wish you guys had made it down to the Port Hacking. So much more of what you are seeing now... and the beaches and the National Park, and the beaches, and the hiking trails, and the beaches...LOL Oh well your loss I guess. 🤣🤣🤣 Great work, So glad you're enjoying your Sydney experience. Could you make the episodes a little longer perhaps? Just for us Sydney siders that don't get out on the water as much as we should do... Thanks 😘🤙👍
I use Minolta 8x40 completely rubberised, made in Japan, and about 30 year old now. Just checked online and no longer available but you can pick up for about £150 second hand. Mine are still great even after dropping many moons ago. Great show by the way!
Fifth video of this series and it certainly lives up to the title Serenity of Boat life, as did the previous 4. Excellent editing Terysa. Keep on having fun you two. :-)
I use Bushnell Engage binoculars for hunting and they pretty nice. Solid built, not to heavy and pretty clear. Ive had a couple different binoculars and rifle scopes from them and they have all seemed good for the price.

That international standard unit of window-sizing: sheep. :-)
Was it a metric sheep or imperial sheep though?
Priceless comment. Too funny

Nick, Steiner Navigator Binoculars 7X50 with compass is what I use onboard "The i Seas" Best i've ever used.

I like Steiner binoculars. This marine model is military grade: Steiner 7x50 M750rc Commander Military Porro Prism Binoculars.

My wife and I love our Bushnell 10x25 just because they are so compact and light. Great for a day bag of hiking.
Nice song and non alcoholic beer. Not a bad idea. I think with COVID we can all admit we have been drinking more
Smell that serenity...
We love our Steiner binocs!
Tell him "He's dreaming"!
😂
"Godspeed..." as Nick launches himself off in this paddling board of a thing.
🤣😆 oh god! I'm cracking up.
THE CASTLE. What a tremendously funny movie! “Tell him he’s dreamin’.” “We’re going to Bonnie Dunes...”
“Bonnie Doon” it’s on lake Eildon. Scottish links for the name.
very relaxing, I think it is time to go to bed, oh the serenity...
My introduction to Australia, when I moved here over about 25 years ago, was the Castle. I was told to watch this and Muriel's wedding!
please give a person a warning I had a mouth full of tea when the quote ah the serenity pops out of Nick's mouth and nearly choked LOL
Ah the serenity. Gorgeous. You are an inspiration :) Your videos always transport me to a dream made real.
