Debbie Allen doesn’t need to yell. She commands respect by the way she carries herself and treats others. When she speaks, they listen. Abby on the other hand has to belittle it into people. She doesn’t command respect she rules by fear and intimidation in her studio. There’s a drastic difference

I always got the feeling that Melissa didn't respect and appreciate Debbie Allen nearly as much as she should. Call it intuition on my part. Debbie Allen is a legend, and Melissa is just like "eh"

i feel like this style actually suited nia well, more than any other style she has tried and kalani of course looks good doing absolutely anything. it’s great they tried something new!

I love how Gianna was smiling and clapping when they finished. I know it's probably part (or all) Lifetime's editing, but every time Nia dances (even if she does amazing and wins 1st place) I swear Abby NEVER SMILES!
Debbie Allen carries herself with such confidence and poise, she never has to yell or belittle her dancers. She pushes them to the limit but never in a way that makes them feel incapable. The difference between her and Abby is so incredibly huge, it’s crazy.
Did anyone see the way Nia was calm and smiling during the dance and the way they both trusted each other. And the way kalani and Nia looked like QUEENS

bc Melissa only supports Maddie,Kenzie,Kendall and Kalani she doesn't support Nia or JoJo at all like she was jealous that Nia was doing a performance in Melbourne in Australia and had a smart comment to say about Mikey and when Mikey was talking to Nia at the dance studio she didn't support anything Nia did at all
All I gotta say is they slayed the game, both of them especially nia she stepped up her game! I'm so happy for both of them!

I'm gonna be real here and say nia could've BEEN thriving at Debbie Allen but holly wanted to be miss bougie doctor and would rather play second fiddle to a bunch of women who don't care about her or her daughter instead of bringing her daughter where she'd be appreciated and shine
Holly kept her at ALDC because Nia wanted to stay there. That's where she had been dancing since she was 3 and that's where all of her friends were. I agree Nia would've done better with Debbie Allen, but I'm not gonna bash Holly. We're on the outside looking in. Holly is a great mother and always did what she felt was best for her daughter.
Alexandria johnson no holly did what was best for holly. It was more important for her to raise her nose in the air being associated with the aldc even tho her daughter rarely placed. She's been there since she was 3 and she's always been treated the same, less than the other girls. Who cares how long you've been there if you've just been a back up dancer for the majority of the time? Her daughter could've been thriving doing dances that suit her body type and taught her about her heritage!

See, I think that, from there Nia should have become a Debbie Allen dancer. Miss Allen treated her with respect, so did Aisha and I think she would have THRIVED with them, not with Abby pushing her in the farthest corner of the stage or typecasting her.
If Nia ever goes back to dancing, I she goes to Debbie Allen's company.

Once the kids contracts was up the moms should of moved their kid to a different studio like Debbies’ if they were so upset by Abbie teaching style. I think the moms cared more about their the personal fame than their kids, cause no Abbie no cameras.

no she was not. She was giving constructive criticism. Abby just rips girls apart, Aisha told them that it seems like they are scared to dance/ look like they have bricks on their backs because Nia and Kalani are used to Abby terrorizing them.
When holly said it in front of the moms Melliasas face was like my kids can’t go there
I feel like the only reason why kalani seemed to pick up this duet quicker than nia is because kalani can make really quick and sharp movements while nias movements are more slow and she takes her time with her movements, not in a lazy way but in a naturally more “I’m gonna take my time to go through this movement so it’s perfect.” That’s not bad her style is just a bit different than kalani’s
It actually suits Kalani a little more because of her back flexibility and agility. They both did great but you can tell the difference in a couple moves during the dance.
