Thank you! The persistence definitely paid off when I caught my first spring chinook. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me that day! I guess the fish were being camera shy! I've got an Instagram with pictures of my catch Freshwater Fishing Syndicate. New Fishing video will be out next week!
Right on! Thank you for the support!!I feel like the odds are getting better every time we go out. We've got a lot of fishing to do, with many more videos to come!! Thank you for joining me on this adventure! 🙏
Wow I’m amazed that everyone is throwing spinners and wigglers. I figured it would be a bobber and egg show down there. This video was super informative though thanks for sharing! I appreciate your struggle man I just caught my first salmon last year and it took me 50+ hours. The whole season I only caught two coho but it was such a rewarding feeling. I was lucky enough to get my first springer last week on the Yakima river as well. Beautiful hatchery fish and she absolutely swallowed the eggs I was drifting. Keep at it man I want to see you catch one out of that toilet bowl. It would be awesome to see one smash a hard bait.
I feel like there is definitely a learning curve when it comes to bank fishing for salmon, especially with all of the different techniques. It's only a matter of time though!! Congrats on the springer, and the coho!! I was out exploring last weekend and stumbled upon a nice little creek, with some nice looking transitions. Im thinking about testing my luck with bobbers and sand shrimp.
I APPRECIATE THE GRIND . You'll get em . I have fished Bass and other warm water species into my 40s now Im in Yamhill co.,OR and trying to learn everything Salmon Steelhead . Don't get out as much as I'd like. These days ,We are lucky to have any opportunity to bring these home. ✌️& Tight Lines New Subcriber #198
Hey thank you!! I appreciate you checking out the channel,, and thank you for the sub! I ended up catching my first springer on Monday, but I didn't have my camera with me. I guess they have been camera shy for me lol. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to bring one of these amazing fish home. It was all worth the wait, and I am eating good for the next two weeks! Good luck to you this season! Fish on :) 😀
Columbia is still open locally. 2 fish daily limit. Sauvie Island has some good beach fishing and it's a lot closer than Prescott. I will be out there tomorrow and Sunday most likely.
I was stoked when I read they increased the bag limit on the ODFW News page! There's a tributary that I plan on exploring Sunday a little farther out. I might plunk on the way back, or hold off until Monday. There are so many different options, sometimes it's hard to decide what to do.
It's combat fishing at its finest, so bobber fishing probably won't work. Depending on when you are there, you can be pretty close to the people fishing next to you.
Good call! 👍 I was looking for inline weights yesterday at sportsman's but had no luck. I'll have some by this weekend for the bobber fishing I've got planned!
Thanks for the upload.
Howdy for BC, enjoying you videos. I appreciate your persistence to keep going! Right on

I bet a coho bolo would slay there
You ever catch salmon there on bobber and eggs?
Good realistic vid ! Do you think you can fish with bobber there ? I never been there

You can make your light spinners go down deeper with just a kidney sinker a couple inches above the spinner.

Not to mean, But you should learn to cast holding the line with the same hand you hold the rod with
Hey I appreciate the tip. Maybe I'll give that way of casting a shot this week!
If you hit southern Oregon , I’ll get you a little more educated.
