Again again! Lmfaooo that's okay I've literally had it on repeat for about three hours now, just having it play over and over again while I finish concrete hahahhaa
There’s a reason I let my kid miss school and see you in Cleveland and will bring him to see you every chance I get. His mom is far gone and I too know what it’s like having lost my dad to the game. We all see this world differently and live it differently. So that’s multiple worlds you’re out here saving with your music. Save one life save the world, and you’re well beyond that. Forever grateful and I’m sure many relate
People who grow up in dysfunctional, addiction families swim through the pain every day..yeah you made it out, your grown but it doesnt mean we escaped......realize you cant hold any responsibility for how you were raised, and you're amazing for pushing through and using it as a catalyst to change your life. Keep strong, your fans are here for you
I grew up this way also. Parents had me on drugs at 12 like using with my parents. Dfax got me and brother. Parents went to prison shit was never the same
This is probably one of deepest verses you wrote man. As someone who has a whole past of trauma and not nearly enough love. Its so hard to get out of the whole that has been dug
Am I the only one who can’t stop listening to this song? Or just Ekoh in general!? Man Ekoh you really have helped me get through some of my worst days and I seriously can’t thank you enough for what you do! ❤
Your lyrics mean so much, obviously to so many. I hope you're surrounded by people that care and ask how you're doing these days, if you ever need someone, the fans have your back 🖤 This was your calling, and your trauma is helping so many of us work through ours. Lots of love ✌️

There’s really no one in this game that gives back to the people, while also giving deep insight on their life, like Ekoh does. I hate how much I relate to this, but I do. Everyone has their own problems and never really listens to mine. I don’t think you know how much you’ve helped me. And I hope with this release, you feel less alone. Cause I know I do. Abandonment isn’t something everyone deals with. When people leave you, or continue to disappear, disconnect, and disappoint, it really makes it hard to open up. No one really knows me anymore. And I’ll gladly keep it that way to save my heart. Keep your chin up and accept this air hug. 🫂 You inspire me to keep going. 🖤💯🌹
There are SOOOOO many men in the country that need to pay attention to these lyrics. I LOVE how he is telling his inner truth. So many young men are so vested in a narrow idea of masculinity that they can't even admit to themselves the truth this young man is telling to the world.
@Ekohmusic I am 53 . You know what I also really like about your lyrics is their lyricism. I notice now-in-days a lot, not all, but a lot of hip hop is verse, lyric, repeat verse. So the rapper only had to come up with lyrics for one verse and one chorus. When rap and hip hop were new there were actually completely different lyrics throughout the entire song. The songs were epic poems. That's not easy. That's why in rap groups each rapper took only one verse and the supers stars were the ones who had the talent to come up with engaging lines throughout the entire song. That's what YOU do and it is a GIFT to be able to do it with the lyricism that you have. I am so happy for you, genuinely it gives me hope for the future, that a young man like use is using his gift to reach other young men who may be going through the same thing you went through. Using your painful experience and your gifts to help other people is The Goddess's work. Keep it up.

Ekoh!!!! This song made me realize, no one is ever really alone. Trauma is hard to talk about it, I guess that’s why you rap about it!! 🤘🏼Note: take into consideration, a lot of music artists whitewash people and put up a façade to get noticed. 99% of people can’t speak the truth because they don’t know the truth themselves. That’s where you really stand out in my eyes. Making music helps you process and let go of the cynical and irrational thoughts or feelings that make you feel stuck or have you spinning. A roulette for life if you will. Unfortunately; you’ve endured some challenging times; you know firsthand what trauma does to one or their family/friends. This one hits deep brother. Whether it feels like it or not, your trauma has built you up into who you are today it builds up that armor that makes it to where you can weather anything that comes your way and although things may not be exactly where you want them to be or look how you want them to, they are still moving forward in the right direction. Just as important, that trauma is helping you create music that has genuine heart and is helping the people that this connects with move forward from their own trauma. Music like this is what changes lives and gives people hope when they feel alone. Its just as therapeutic for those people as I hope it was for you to have the chance to lay it all out and confront it. You've got a lot of talent and a lot of heart brother. Keep charging forward and no matter what, stay true to who you are. As far as that inner monologue goes, I know that shit can be toxic as fuck and a helluva beast to contend with. You give it the power though man, means you can also take that shit away from it and snap yourself into the mindset you want to be in. You got this fam.
It doesn't matter who you are or what you think you are capable of trauma can cut you off at the knees and take your everything.... this track helps put it to words. Thanks man, great job, very grateful.
Always been a fan Ekoh, but this side of you connects with me more than anything i've heard from you before. A lot of us who come to listen to music like yours are just looking for eacape from our traumas. But something like this helps us see that there is an answer somewhere when things are this screwed up for us. Big love man ❤
Yo, i just gotta say that while all of your music is fire, this is a step above. One of the most insightful and relatable songs on trauma i've heard yet, so many can make songs that evoke the feelings we all struggle with, but very few have managed to do so while actually gifting the audience with great perspective on some of the biggest obstacles to getting better. So many golden nuggets in this song, from the comments on the addictive nature of getting lost in your own head, to recognizing that so much of our baggage is derived from our own subconscious attempts to keep us safe, and how those very defensive mechanisms that protected us can become huge obstacles to our own growth if/when we finally make it to a place thats safe(r). Let alone the wisdom to recognize that keeping ourselves overly safe breeds stagnation. I mean really this song touches on so many important aspects of the way trauma effects us that you could probably read a whole book on the topic and come away with less than a careful dissection of this songs lyrics can provide. Big props to you both for the song itself, and more importantly the obvious progress it represents in your own battle with past trauma. P.s. delivery was on point as well, this song deserves way more exposure then it's currently getting.
Ekoh was a Music Entertainer of the Year finalist last year on my channel. Amazing to see him make so many good songs this year too. Unstoppable talent. Deserves to be on trending page.
I don’t need my pills when I have ekohs tunes, everything you make are masterpieces and shows no matter what everyone is going through their own traumas much love for your work
honestly, brought me to tears. Couple lines in there just hit me at my core. Makes me feel I am not alone. Also a good reminder for me to be kind to the people I interact with because everyone has shit they are dealing with and some of it you can't even imagine.. Hope you are well, thanks for this song!
Thanks brotha we all have trauma. Not many of us recognise our traumas so they can be hard to deal with. But if u can identify some of those tough times in our lives we can learn more an understand ourselves better. Used to blame myself for my traumas but now they’re just chapters in my life. Wouldn’t be here without em
You are a true poet, you know? I'm writing from Madrid, Spain, miles away from your city, and still your words sound so true and universal. I don't know what to say, thank you, congratulations...Please keep on doing this kind of music!
This just made me sit back and think A LOT about how I became who I am and why I act how I do and value and praise certain ideals the way I do. Like, why do gravitate towards independent music, praise independent art and artists the way I do? I always thought I knew but now I'm realizing there's a lot more to it. I guess I'm just saying wow, I can really feel and relate to this!!!
How the fuck did I miss I just put my headphones in to go finish concrete and opened up TH-cam and your video is the first one on there I was like what the fuc! This is amazing bro I love it, legit Goosebumps! That part about how you haven't spoken to your mom in a year, not knowing if she's even alive anymore... That hit me right in the fucking feels, that's the exact situation with my mother and I, I had to move away from Florida to get clean I live in Montana and she still lives in Florida and she's hooked on about every drug there is, and I agree there is a part of me that would find relief in the fact that she's gone because that would mean she had finally found peace
@@Ekohmusic thank you bro, I really appreciate that! I am doing generally pretty well, July 27th was 4 years clean, I mean I still smoke weed and eat kratom but that's it, and I'd rather that than go back on my meds which make me a walking zombie, at least weed and kratom keep me level yanno? And Idk how Moms is doing, every time my phone has rang in the past 4 years, my first thought is "this is that call, she OD'd and found her body, or they couldn't revive her" I'm sorry you have to deal with that shit too bro, no son or daughter should ever have to worry about that with a parent, but seriously thank you for this song, I didn't realize I needed this til i listened to it I've literally had it on repeat for the last 3 and a half hrs lmfaooo youre a true artist, one of the only ones ever that can give me goosebumps and have me borderline in tears, listening to the deep, hard hitting shit you say is like therapy to me
The shit that happened when I was a kid had the biggest hand in it. 🔥❤️🙏 I never learned how to deal with emotions. As they came and piled up I started numbing em away with drugs cause didn't understand how to even start to deal wit it. Now I'm grown and now sober. Learning to face and deal with emotions everything and ever kind all at once is crazy overwhelming thing. But I'm doing it finally after the over full lifetime I've lived I'm doing it right. God bless ya brother #keep going #wedorecover #breakingthestigma 🙏🙏🙏👍💪🤜🔥❤️🙏🙏🙏

As far as that inner monologue goes, I know that shit can be toxic as fuck and a helluva beast to contend with. You give it the power though man, means you can also take that shit away from it and snap yourself into the mindset you want to be in. You got this fam.
That’s so true man. Thank you
this is your best one yet, you are legendary 💯
Thank you homie 🙏🏽
It doesn't matter who you are or what you think you are capable of trauma can cut you off at the knees and take your everything.... this track helps put it to words. Thanks man, great job, very grateful.
Facts
Damn bro this shits hits deep. Appreciate you putting into words what I never could. My new anthem
Always 🙏🏽
Always been a fan Ekoh, but this side of you connects with me more than anything i've heard from you before. A lot of us who come to listen to music like yours are just looking for eacape from our traumas. But something like this helps us see that there is an answer somewhere when things are this screwed up for us. Big love man ❤
I really appreciate it more than you know 🙏🏽🖤
wow, i havent heard a song this good in a while. So hyped for heart hop
Damn thank you
@@Ekohmusic Gonna be replaying it for a while
Yo, i just gotta say that while all of your music is fire, this is a step above.
Wow. Thank you so much that means a lot
Had this on repeat since it dropped fr
I appreciate it!
@@Ekohmusicwe appreciate you man, thank you❤
Ekoh was a Music Entertainer of the Year finalist last year on my channel. Amazing to see him make so many good songs this year too. Unstoppable talent. Deserves to be on trending page.
Man I appreciate that!
I don’t need my pills when I have ekohs tunes, everything you make are masterpieces and shows no matter what everyone is going through their own traumas much love for your work
Glad to help in any way
honestly, brought me to tears. Couple lines in there just hit me at my core. Makes me feel I am not alone. Also a good reminder for me to be kind to the people I interact with because everyone has shit they are dealing with and some of it you can't even imagine.. Hope you are well, thanks for this song!
🙏🏽🖤🖤
This song gives me chills everytime i listen to it, this is one of the realist songs i have heard, and it hits me deep
Thanks so much bro
One of the realist, deepest songs I've ever heard! Nothing but goosebumps !
Thank you
Thanks brotha we all have trauma. Not many of us recognise our traumas so they can be hard to deal with. But if u can identify some of those tough times in our lives we can learn more an understand ourselves better.
Used to blame myself for my traumas but now they’re just chapters in my life. Wouldn’t be here without em
So very true
Been with you since Pickle Rick brother. So proud of all your earned success! No one deserves it more.
Thank you!
Ekoh is the perfect artist, 2 yrs ago I hit .05 on spotify but now I know hes the artist who really gets it, he can voice how I feel
We all struggle in life songs like this help us shine like the sun❤
You are a true poet, you know? I'm writing from Madrid, Spain, miles away from your city, and still your words sound so true and universal. I don't know what to say, thank you, congratulations...Please keep on doing this kind of music!
Ekoh, I'm a bit late to the song but man I love it. That's all I have to say, you just said stuff that a lot of people can relate with. Thank you
Thank you! I appreciate it.
The best thing I can ask for is some introspection or a conversation built around this. I love that. Thank you.
Man. Thank you. Hope things are doing better for you man I know how shitty that can be
@@Ekohmusic thank you bro, I really appreciate that! I am doing generally pretty well, July 27th was 4 years clean, I mean I still smoke weed and eat kratom but that's it, and I'd rather that than go back on my meds which make me a walking zombie, at least weed and kratom keep me level yanno? And Idk how Moms is doing, every time my phone has rang in the past 4 years, my first thought is "this is that call, she OD'd and found her body, or they couldn't revive her" I'm sorry you have to deal with that shit too bro, no son or daughter should ever have to worry about that with a parent, but seriously thank you for this song, I didn't realize I needed this til i listened to it I've literally had it on repeat for the last 3 and a half hrs lmfaooo youre a true artist, one of the only ones ever that can give me goosebumps and have me borderline in tears, listening to the deep, hard hitting shit you say is like therapy to me
The truth will always set you free
The shit that happened when I was a kid had the biggest hand in it. 🔥❤️🙏
I never learned how to deal with emotions.
God bless ya brother

It's really crazy to watch you truly blossom as an artist and your songs become more and more dialed in than I ever imagined. Like, dude I thought you were fucking phenomenal your first song, now you're going to be legendary if you keep this up, keep crafting these heavy hitting songs, and keep your mind right. Love your music so much man!

I can't tell you how much I love your music. We honestly have so much in common. The biggest thing is probably the kind of relationship, or the lack of, with our mother. I get choked up some days when I listen to you. Thank you for making me feel like I'm not the only one ❤
I appreciate it more than you know
I’m so proud of you and your growth along your journey, got my tears flowing again.. Thank you for all your truth that flows out into these songs. Your music helps me heal a little more each time I listen to it 💖✨

I wanted to be the first to tattoo your rap name on me when i watched deaudrie but my trauma crowded me. Ive been here since the beginning. Before the strange music crew discovered you. I tagged them countless times in your videos on instagram. Youve changed my life. I can't stop listening to this... It may be the most real relatable vulnerable song I've ever heard. Thank you❤😭 remember when you speak the love it always EKOHs back 🗣🔊
Brother. Your Trauma inspired me to write again. Thank you, with all the tears rolling down my face. Thank you.
That’s what it’s all about man
"It's not the brush or the colors or the canvas it's the way you paint" 🗣🔥
I felt that in my soul and as if he just literally provided me with the most beautiful, honest, caring, clearly detailed, yet simple answer to a question I've asked myself for so long... ❤ Thank you.

Thank you Ekoh. I don't typically listen to modern day music but when it's amazing it's, ......well it's just flat out amazing. I'm going down the Ekoh rabbit hole today and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. From Trauma to Butterfly 2021. I can relate to the song Trauma and Butterfly gives me nostalgic feelings while hearing a new sound mixed in. Thanks man
Thank you Ekoh, really needed to hear nothing hit more then that lately but I’m there with with you g still tryna get sober though 1 day at a time!🔥❤️🙏💯
