    I've just bought an Ado A20F in a sealed box that the owner had in her garage. I built the bike up and found the charger goes straight to green, I put a volt meter on the battery terminals and had only 24v not 36v. Ive ridden the bike with my partners battery and it runs fine. Last night I pulled the battery apart to have a look, 3.6v consistently across each bank. I then checked at the ends and now have 36v. Strange, I don't see any loose connections, have continuity checked att the tabs.. I taped it back up, put it in the bike and it will now turn on and actually rode it around 3 miles performing well with half battery showing. Still goes green when plugged in.. Wondering if it's still bad cells or something wrong with the BMS..

      If all cell groups show good voltage, likely to be a dead BMS!

      @@EbikeRepairs thanks.. Im actually having another play with it now.. I've put the charger direct across the battery just to see if an increased voltage across the battery might kick something into life.. Its no good as is so happy to try anything.. Doing it outdoors in case of any mishaps.. Thanks for your help

    Hello. I have issue with A20 bought 2 years and 2 months ago. After over 200 km I was carrying my bike in train and it fell over one time. I turned it on station and ride to home everything worked fine. But after 4 days I tried to turn on bike, buttons blinked one time, nothing on the screen and nothing happens.. If I turn the light button and the power on the headlamp glows only when I have power button pressed. I have no Idea, tried to reconnecting plugs the battery I measured is about 41-45V on fully charged and on label is 36V....

      Possibly a damaged BMS, if you're local I can help you out

    Does this battery not have a fuse. I thought I would just need to change the fuse like I did on my yose battery on my mountain bike now I’m thinking my battery is finished on my ado a20 because it’s not charging please tell me there’s a fuse I can just change 😢

      Unfortunately they don't all have fuses... Sometimes bad BMS/bad cells.

    Same as my battery didn't last long, 4 or 5 charge before it died, :(

    probably a long shot,but would the ado 20f be ok running a samsung 48v 14ah battery,if you know or know anyone that you could guide me too?

      Sorry bud I don't think it's a great idea as the controller is likely only rated for 36v! But you could check the capacitors inside to see what they're rated for. I know the screen can be set to 48v.

    Hi, i have the ado a20 bike with the same battery. After being stored for over a year the battery wont accept a charge.. its not flat, still reading 36v. Stripped and tested individual banks, all are very similar at 3.6 v each but still wont charge. Would it be the bms? Thanks

    • @EbikeRepairs
      @EbikeRepairs  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Almost certainly BMS if each bank is showing 3.6v

    Is it possible to disassemble the ADO Air battery this way?

      I'm not sure what type of battery the ADO air uses, sorry... If it looks the same but smaller then yes!

    Honest opinion, would you avoid buying an ado a20? Or would buying one would be asking for trouble?
    Cheers

      Honestly - I wouldnt! have had 8 controllers fail. the nature of our business is repairs, so we dont get the likely thousands of customers that dont have issues - but the failure rate is 100% for everyone i know personally who has owned one.
