Undeniably, Ed Sullivan was WAY ahead of his time when it came to championing black and Latin talent. It's something you likely won't find in any history book; however, all those kinescopes and tapes in SOFA's archives never lie.
Even if he was not right, do you imagine the kind of pressure he puts on his opponents by doing this. You imagine his opponent feeling during the 6th round and the extra mental effort he puts just to not fall on this round? Actually making it to the 7 or 8th round subconsciously would he a victory for his opponent during the fight which would work on Ali’s favor during the remaining rounds
