They would not have had the success they did without everyone contributing to the songs they wrote In saying that, the band did become the Jon show, and it was always his face on the album covers and most videos focused on him alone. Perhaps Richie did get tired of that, but I can see his point if it was.

But in recent years, the latter has even begun singing some of their songs in concerts. Heck, he even got inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame w/ Jon in 2009. Out of all the band members, I think David has the most reasons to feel underappreciated. He has co-written very few Bon Jovi songs yet he's the one w/ the Tony Awards.

Love this band since they hit the waves in 1984. I miss Richie and I am mystified by the new music he is making (RSO) and although not a fan, wishing him the best. I listened to Richie by himself and preferred that to this new thing he is doing. (Stranger in this Town). It's possible to still like them both (RSO and JBJ), but I prefer the path Bon Jovi is still on however diminished by Ritchie's departure. Ritchie and Jon are simply one of the best rock duos ever, and there are not replacements. I would hope to see them together again.
I'm 60 and he's part of my gereration, our values back then were much different and ( my values haven't changed because times have changed ). Dont be a follower of trends etc !!!

They were my first gig in 92 in Glasgow secc. And we were part of the live video for top of the pops that night..the song was in these arms and at the time his wife was about to give birth to their first child and he said in a newspaper that he would jump on Concorde if she started giving birth so we were hoping she would hold onto the gig finished.....best gig ever besides AC/DC and I reckon they were at their best with keep the faith...my opinion
Jon treats everyone with respect, And he gave Richie plenty of chances but it was wrong to do what he did to Jon. They were like brothers but Richie should have told Jon days before the concert then he wouldn't have left them stranded You don't do that to your friends that's you have been with for 30 some years.

They pretty much took him by the hand to rehab at least twice that we know of, and it was because they cared about him. Which I might add, didn't even sell a third of available seats. Since walking out on the band, he has done two tours in Australia, neither selling out, came down to OZ to perform at the football grand final, where he used a backing track while doing "Living on a Prayer" with Orianthi and it sounded like absolute shit. He didn't even get to the talkbox on time, and pointed at Orianthi to sing the next line. Very, very disappointing performance. Do some of your solo sings, you're not Jon, and never will be! Sorry Sambora fans, he is washed up and off the wagon again. It's a shame, before his alcoholic days he was talented, now????

Gosh I love him so much, he’s so genuine and has a heart of gold. I was honored to see him in concert last weekend, and I was blown away.
