NO TRACK, NO PROBLEM - Swampy the Hilux takes on a brutal 4X4 mission (Australia)

- Swampy (the Toyota Hilux with 46" extreme mud terrain tyres) takes on an insane 4WD mission at the top of Australia. Simon is also along for the ride on his quad, as they chew through terrain that would be considered impenetrable to even the most seasoned 4x4er.
Fortunately for the team Swampy isn't your average 4WD, and was built tough for missions just like this. Will Swampy save the day? Watch to find out.

I remember country like this from my Army days, over in the Yampi Sound area of the Kimberley's.; a military training ground. 4 x Land Rover 110's and 2 x XR 250 Honda's. We manages to go a whole 7 Km in 9 hours.....
Some of the toughest country I have ever traversed. Mission accomplished though
These vids remind me of my time in the Army training in Alaska, which I decided to stay and live here. The sheer remoteness and brutality of the terrain we have is very akin to Australia in many aspects, one small mistake could easily kill you. Just going to my moose camp to hunt is easily 13 hrs in the build bush trucks we have and we are usually out there for a month if not longer.
Lower tire pressure and the front tires are installed backwards,these tires are directional and have to be properly installed.
Could build a blade for Swampy to cut through or shear trees as you plow into them. A little Mad Max attitude rolling through the brush would look menacing.

Have you guys tried using Chevy 57” or 63” rear Chevy springs on swampy? They hold a lot more weight and give an incredible amount of flex

Love the show so not trying to be smart arse but since swampy is such a beast why tow it with the cruiser before unleashing it?
Gas mileage might not be street legal tire wear etc
Its likely cause it's a beast in the bush but i imagine a bit of a pig to drive on normal roads. When you raise a car heaps as well a slap huge tires on them you start getting major body roll, takes alot more effort to wind it up to highway speeds to. Plus those tires arent cheap at all, i'd be saving the tread for bush not waring em out on tarmac aswell.
That and I don't think I see plates on it. Might just have recreational registration or none at all lol
All that equipment in the back and no spare, I'd have 2 spares out there, and find a way to fit them in all that stuff. Just saying.
