Satoshi was so cute at the beginning, shifting in his seat wanting to start eating so bad.😆 I love castella too! I got to try some thanks to you guys and Bokksu. It was so moist and delicious with just the right amount of sweetness.😋
my grandmother used to love castella i remember as a young girl going with her to the bunmeido store in honolulu shinichi i think they closed long ago i mustve tasted castella when i was young but would love to eat it again
Since I watched your previous videos of castella, I went to a korean pastry shop and bought some. It was so freaking good and I'm hooked on them now. I need to go to Japan and try a real authentic castella!
Just curious. Do you ever use a sauce or syrup with Castella Cakes? As an American, Castella Cakes look like they would be lovely with sliced strawberry sauce and whipped cream. You guys always make me smile. Stay safe and healthy.
Finally found a review for all castella in Nagasaki. Thank you so much for this! It was fun watching this. I love anything that’s cake but simple cakes are the best! Can’t wait to try your best 3!
Fun to watch...I couldn't believe what big pieces you kept eating...lol...instead of sharing a piece ! You must really love Castella and I enjoyed watching you taste test them all !! Shinichi looked like he needed a nap after...lol...you guys are awesome...thanks and cheers from Ontario, Canada.
I'll take the boxes if you've finished with them.😋 Such a beautiful presentation! So you know that what's inside will be a quality product. You can tell that they take a lot of pride in their product. Happy eating guys🍴🥢
A day in paradise for Satoshi! 🙌🥰 All the castella look delicious! I don't think my palate would be discerning enough to decide which was my favorite. The differences seem subtle, generally. It was interesting that you both chose the Fukusaya castella as #1 because of its perfect balance. Thanks for the fun and _super_ yummy food journey!
The color of eggyolk depends on the food the chickens get. If they get more carrotine, they are more orange-ish. It's also a thing that differs in every country around the world, like some countries like a more yellow yolk and some prefer it orange. I had a white one once, more on accident because it was simply mixed with the "normal" ones. But since I used more than one egg, it didn't taske different ^^'
We have sometimes castella in japanese Shops in Germany. They are sadly really pricey, but i love the Hokkaido Milk and Hokkaido Milk Peach castella (Import from japan). For one package with 3 slices I must pay ca 7€ (~750 Yen I guess) but its worth it
I like castella too. Bunmeido Houten castella is good. I heard the stop on the tram (only in japanese) and we got off. We purchased gifts there. Also they gave us samples in the store and it was good. The store in Hawaii closed years ago because the baker decided to retire and return to Japan. I also bought the Suzakiya white and green tea and Shokado as a comparison. Fukusaya looks good.
Just curious if this is a good brand, I just picked up a box of castella from my local Costco in Pennsylvania. The brand is Imuraya. Of course I tried it right away and it is yummy! Satoshi, I can see why you like it so much!!!
Your guys are too cute! When we visted Nagasaki in 2008 our bus stopped at a roadside Castella stand. Our tourguide told us they used the eggs of the chickens that were running around to make the cakes. We bought a regular and Matcha flavored cake. Best Castella we ever ate. Costco brings in a Castella cake but its not so good.
I’m going to Nagasaki soon and wanted to watch your castella video. Yes I remember Bunmeido store at Shirokiya in Hawaii. My mother’s friend imported castella from Japan as her business in Hawaii.
Id have to have coffee with them. I'll def give one a try if I can. They do look like French pound cakes but, after reading the recipe, they are not the same
They look like American pound cakes, I wonder how they taste comparatively. I don't have a store I can get sone to try it out though 😭. At least I can see you two being adorable as you enjoy it

It's always a delight to see Satoshi being so excited!
You two are a delight to watch - one of the gentlest, most enthusiastic channels this foodie follows!
As soon as I saw the title, I knew this would be a Satoshi dream tasting! 🍰🤍🍰

Whoa! Satoshi is on cloud 9. Let's let him stay there awhile. ☁️☁️☁️

A couple of times Satoshi looked like he was having a religious experience, and I respect that.

My compliments on your nails, always clean and trimmed. The cakes look delicious!

Satoshi is so excited! I think it could only been better if he had a big burger and beer first!
I saw some Castella at the store last Saturday and thought Ohhhh Satoshi would love this.
Great Video. now i wont be overwhelmed when i recommend to buy top 3 castella
I love Bunmeido 's castella when I was child. I moved to U.S. We can buy Bunmeido 's castella in the Japanese supermarkets in the LA.

This video made me want to try castella!
There used to be one (1) castella bakery near your stomping grounds in Moiliili right? I don’t think they exist now 😐

Those castella cakes looked delicious!

Castella is so much more flavorful n moist compared to the pound cake.
@@Ally-oi6lm I wish i could try some. Maybe one day
Wow
Are they available in Tokyo?
You guys were like cake-drunk at the end of the video.
I’ve heard now that Mexico made chocolate, Russia made chocolate, and Japan now all “invented” chocolate.
Idk what to believe anymore
Is castella what Americans call pound cake?
Castella is way lighter than a pound cake but heavier than a chiffon cake.
Love you guys pls also make review the Japanese small chick looks like chick they also use eggs🙏🫡
