I have been putting the final touches to my wild flower daisies painting based on your tutorial. As soon as the paint is dry I will remove it from the block ready for the next one. I don't have a sponge, so will have to try the foliage without....

Karen loved the video. You just went super fast so at times was hards to follow. I found myself getting lost as I was trying to follow along. but loved it. my first try was a mess. hoping better the second time around.

Hi Karen! I tried this today. I did my version of it and I am fairly pleased with the results. At least I knew where I was going and had more control over it. I made one mistake. I did one tree and the placement wasn't right. I couldn't do the trunk. So I added another. Changed the color with the sponge, and it worked fairly well. I will share it with you on Instagram. Thank you for opening the world of watercolor for me.

@@KarenRiceArt I intend to do so. I would love to learn more about painting roses, in an abstract sort of way. I think I do better when I don't have to stick to reproduce something rigidly.

Yes, me too! many many pauses! I slowed the speed down but that slows down the speaking too so it can get weird- however, if you don't already know this, you can slow down the speed by clicking on the little gear at the bottom of the video.

I really enjoyed this tutorial. Thank you so much for all the tips and techniques. I finally got myself some 100% cotton paper and it makes a huge difference, although I wasn't brave enough to use the full 9"x12" sheet! Now having had success with this riverbank, I will go for the bigger piece of paper next time.
