Grew up in Midland and to this day my family refers to this as “the junk fest” lol but it is seriously a pickers/thrifters/garage and estate saler’s paradise!
That Roseville Bleeding Heart jardiniere and pedestal was beautiful! I know my Roseville collection tanked value-wise in 2008 but the blue Bleeding Heart line might still get me to open my wallet! :) The Snowberry piece at 7:53 in the pink and blue is a trial piece. Oddly enough the only trial piece in my collection is the exact piece IVI-8 in a really dark 2 tone green glaze. Evidently that particular shape was the one they chose to test color combinations on. It's generally easy to tell the trial pieces as when you look underneath you will see the color codes they used and other markings in grease marker under the glaze. I've been to the Midland show years ago but it's enough of a hike from Hillsdale, MI that it can make for a long day!
Listening to 1980's remix enjoying my Gen X life in my secret garden and then you pop on. I love your style. My home is filled with treasured items and crafts that make me happy. Tend to thrift for vintage or antique for holiday's.
I absolutely love the quilt you picked up!! I am obsessed with antique and vintage childrens items.. i dont know if its because it reminds me of my childhood or if its because i have kids, but i love antique childrens books/victorian childrens shoes/vintage kids clothing and quilts… all the things😄 Also.. that tree stand would be **amazing** with a vintage christmas tree. What a show stopper.. imagine it paired with a vintage tree and a color wheel in a window display😍 I have 2 sizes in clear LE Smith moon & stars.. id sure like to have that one you showed 🙌🏼
Very hard to pick a favorite! Love the Santa pin and earrings, the pixie tin, pixie on a butterfly, and all the salt and pepper sets. The bleeding heart Roseville jardiniere was fabulous!❤ Loved everything you shared with us. Annalee is fine! 👍 I have a small collection of older Annalee Santas, reindeer, and snowmen.
