The Secret Life of Pets Ride is so full of creativity and movement it’s astounding. I just wish they had chosen any other franchise to pour this much effort into.
Absolutely. When the dog said "So...how do I put this? You're strays?" I got some odd Oliver & Company flashbacks. I know it would not work, because the movie is half-forgotten by everyone. But still-
I just wish they had put more effort into the ride vehicles. It's one of only 2 rides there I'm too "big" to ride. The website says if you're over 40", you may not fit. There's no reason for them to be so restrictive.
For me, my 2 favorite attractions are Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, and Jurassic World. I love how those rides make you feel like you are in the movie or a part of the story
My favorite ride at USH is the backlot tour, mostly because I miss the "put yourself into movies" attractions and it's a good surrogate. I also like seeing people who haven't ridden it before react to the earthquake scene (arguably the best scene during the whole experience). Thanks again for the videos and take care!
I live here in California and I usually laugh during that part of the Studio Tour. Probably because I am more used to the real thing. But even I will admit that Earthquake is the best earthquake simulator there is.
The last time I went to Universal Studios was on the opening day of the Simpsons ride. I believe it was the second time we have went when I was a kid, and the experience to be there on the opening day of a brand new rides is something I'll never forget. Of course it was super packed and I think we ended up sending hours in line but once we got on it I loved every second of it.
Lol I remember those days since I actually rode it prior to opening day, that was back when the ride was being over work since it was basically a reskinning of Back To The Future and not used to the large crowds being cycled through in a short period of time. Now that the crowds have died down wanting to go on the ride the system is more reliable again.
One of my favorite attractions at the park is one that actually didn’t make the list: The Simpsons Ride. It perfectly captures the feel and humor of the show’s early years 💛
I haven’t been to universal since I was about 8 years old, so it was fascinating to learn about some of the new rides they added since I’ve gone. Once again great video :)
@@admiredgsu1217 maybe, but Disney has changed a lot too over the years, they added new stuff like Star Wars edge and avengers campus. They are also adding two more rides to avengers campus. And some other news attractions. And they were just approved to expand the park. Adding avatar Pandora world. Like Orlando Florida has that and Disneyland will have it as well. Not sure what other parks they're gonna do to expand it. Hopefully zootopia or something like that. I really do like universal studios I don't like how it closes early Disney opens until 12am on weekends and 11pm on weekdays. But it's your opinion if you think they are taking over Disney and for my answer to that is NEVER, they are both great. If universal wasn't far away I will go there a lot. But for me it will always be Disney and Disney is for adults not just kids. California Adventure is aim toward adults so there aren't many kids there compared to Disneyland over at Fantasyland because there are more kids rides. but at Tomorrowland, has space mountain. they have roller coasters in other areas ofc. But overall both are great amusement parks. Definitely Disneyland have more people and the food is better. I have tried universal studios food and its eh.
My favorite ride at USH is Jurassic world, it is so realistic, and really fun and brings people joy. And that drop at the end, outstanding. The mummy is old but still great, it is fast paces, scary , and well everything everyone is looking for .
My sister used to work at Universal Studios Hollywood, and I still remember her taking me as her guest to the employee preview event for Transformers The Ride 3-D. :) As a fan of the Michael Bay Transformers films, I totally geeked out on this ride. 😄 I still make a point to go on it whenever I’m there. That and Revenge of The Mummy are my favorite rides in the park. 😄
When I went on the secret life of pets ride I was so surprised by how amazing the ride was! I also love how the whole ride is focused on how u r a puppy trying to find a good home.
I’ve never been to the Hollywood Universal, but man im pumped to go now, some of these exclusive attractions looks amazing! For one whenever I go to Disney World, I cant see myself not booking for Universal as well! Love both parks to death! Can’t wait to do the same on California.
I was there before the pandemic, and the ride I went on was Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. The line was really long, but I think it was worth it!
@@levlev25 we had three people and it was a single day. We didn’t really have much to do, plus the queue is beautifully themed. We definitely learned our lesson for Disney World though. For our #1-pick rides we got lightning lane passes, especially the ones with enormous queues.

Great video. Honestly the people complaining about Secret Life of Pets don't know what they're talking about. Instead of complaining that the animatronics aren't cutting edge (which wouldn't really work with the character designs anyways) they should be excited for the possibility of more dark rides that aren't just screens after screens.
Having less complicated animatronics is definitely not a bad thing. The problem is that such a mediocre and at times repulsive franchise got such an amazing attraction.
This IS an amazing themed park. Secret Lives is BEYOND cute & cool with the animatronics (That actually WORK) There is something for everyone at this world class park.
My list. 1. Harry Potter, because of its creativity and immersiveness. 2.Jurassic world because of the nostalgia and the impressive indominous rex animatronic. 3. Revenge of the mummy. Great ride just really short 4.Studio Tour because of the cool show scenes and behind the scene effects. 5. Transformers the ride. One of the best simulator rides. 6. Waterworld, not really a ride but an awesome experience.

I haven’t been to a universals in a long time. I live in Singapore and there’s only one small US park, but I remember the transformers 3D ride being my first “real” rollercoster. And as a kid who has a fear of heights it was a cool experience that got me out of my shell.
Thank you TPMVIDS for telling me which are the best 7 rides at Universal Studios Hollywood, now I know which ride to go on when I go there for my first time :)
This is my opinion and my list 1. Harry Potter And The Forbidden Journey 2. Mario Kart 3. Simpsons 4. Transformers 5. Jurassic World 6. The Mummy 7. Minions
My favorite ride is the Universal Bus tour. King Kong saved us from being eaten by the dinosaurs. The transformers and Jurassic Park rides were cool too.
Finally another video that isn’t Disney! Can you do more of these because even I enjoy your Disney videos, it’s nice when you upload videos that aren’t Disney related too
Honestly I LOVE these rides. been going ever since I've been a baby and have absolutely FALLEN in love with it. Disney and universal have been my childhood friends. For the mummy, I ended up going on at the age of 12. I cried. Im not going to lie, I cried a lot. I wasn't scared of the dinosaurs or the giant robots. I was scared of THE FAST MUMMY RIDE.
I was 6 years old. I had front row seats on the Jurassic park ride because I liked dinosaurs, having no idea about the drop. My life is changed forever.
I think the Super Nintendo world is going to hold some of the best rides on the list soon it’s also coming to Hollywood and Orlando so don’t worry Orlando and Hollywood fans Super Nintendo world is gonna be there
My first time going to Universal Studios was 09 or 10 i believe..it was actually Brendan Frazier that did the opening for the Mummy Ride in 2009 since Tomb of the Dragon was released 08. The studio tour is definitely recommended as the first thing when you first arrive to get the feel and culture of the park. They were building or juist built the Simpsons ride which was great. I like the little towns and worlds they built for the attractions. It definitely helps with crowd control and curiousity towards the attraction. Shrek was a cool theater show along with Terminator. At that time the backlot was closed due to the burning so we did see it years later after it was reopen. Jurassic Park is always a banger, the new and old model. The little alley of pubs and bars was sweet especially since its a chill spot next to Minion World to watch the kids have fun in the water. I had much fun when i was in school but im going to take the kids next time i go. And lastly Harry Potter: Forbidden Journey is like a magical wave into the films. It couldve easily been a walk through but what makes it different is actually being able to move around in alley like they did in the movies. The stores, the robes and brooms, even the castle.
Ugh, I want to go to Universal Studios Hollywood so badly! I’ve only ever been to the one in Florida. The rides in the Hollywood one look amazing. I would gladly wait for that backlot tour and Jurassic World. Thank you so much for this video, TPM! I hope I’ll get to go soon!!!
I’ve never been to universal studios. I have been to all four Disney World parks though. My parents told me that there used to be a ride called “The Revenge of the Mummy” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it was moved to Universal
@@Anime_theatre_lover false since Disney never had the rights to any of the Mummy films. The Dueling Dragons Coasters was though originally designed and planned to be built at Disneys Animal Kingdom in their mythical creatures section but because of issues those people left Disney and took it to be built at Universal instead, which later was removed when Harry Potter, which was originally going to be in Disney but again issues getting things built, was instead brought to Universal.
I went there in 2019. I remember going on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey around 7 times in one day. Also I just have to say that the studio tour is a staple of Universal Studios Holly Wood
So glad i got to experience some of the rides in other universal theme parks around the world especially in Singapore and Japan! The first time I got to see Universal Studios Hollywood was I think 2006? It was so long ago, i hope I can visit it again in the future! And hopefully Universal Studios Orlando is the next!

Great video! I have to say that I also much prefer practical effects to video screens. Frankly, I think video screens are just lazy and cheap, so parks are going for them more and more. I saw the original Earthquake ride, and Kong Frontation and they were amazing! 40 years after the fact and I still remember them vividly. But I am afraid that as time goes on, less and less practical effects will be used and more and more screens will take their place. After all, it is a lot cheaper and easier to use video screens than to make and fix practical effects. and unfortunately, with younger audiences, who have never seen practical effects but only screens, they don't know what they are missing.
Since Earthquake is still there and Kong Frontation is only gone because of a fire that destroyed the attraction along with almost the entire New York sets on the lot then built a more expensive attraction which film directors were involved in the designing of the attraction not sure where you can come off by saying they took the cheaper route since it costs them even more to operate and maintain than the old Kong. Maybe you are mixing up the parks since Orlando looked for the cheapest route and is quick to remove attractions while Hollywood can't be as quick since even inside the theme park is used for filming so having construction going on means they can't film in that area since the sound carries even into sound stages and they can't have the background of a film or show suddenly changing during filming so the change would be after that area no longer will have the show or film filming, the exception to that is in situations like on Desperate Housewives when they destroyed a house the rebuilt it since that construction change was part of the show and they took advantage of it to change the house from a facade to a practical set where they could film inside and outside the house going forward since most of the street the houses are only a front of the house for exterior shots and the interior scenes were done on a sound stage.
Harry Potter and the forbidden journey its my favorite ride at universal! The time i went there i went on the ride twice on the same day, it was so fun
My top 4 favorite rides at Universal Studios Hollywood 1) The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash 2) Jurassic World 3) Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey 4) The Studio Tour
My family and we are going to Disney themed Parks, Universal and Hollywood on 22th of December 2023, for 2 weeks. We are so excited that we are counting the days left. The attraction of The secret life of pets Is perfect for my 4 years old nephew (he would 5 yo on December) he loves that movie so much, and I know he love the attraction too.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Jurassic Park/World ride’s theming, HOWEVER, It almost felt like I was gonna fly out of the car while going down the drop, that scarred me.
I like the Secret Life of Pets ride. Besides "Disney standards" ain't what they used to be. Stuff like Ariel's Undersea Adventure, breaks down constantly.
For me, my top 2 favorites are 1. Revenge of the Mummy, and 2. Jurassic World: the Ride /Jurassic Park: the Ride. There are a couple of things I would like to point out though: on Jurassic World, you can get soaked if you are sitting on the end seats too, not just the front row; and when Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey opened at USH back in 2016, it was originally shown in 3D and remained that way for 8 months (while most of the ride had it's 3D film replaced with 4K film, the Floo Network scenes at the beginning and end of the ride still used the old 3D film for a few years and it showed).
Ya they switched out the 3D because unlike Orlando's people were getting physically sick from the 3D aspect of the ride and they were having to spend too much time cleaning up the ride vehicles and track area to get rid if the smells before being able to reopen the ride, with 4K they solved the issue and brought it to other 3D attractions in the park which allowed more glasses to be available to the attractions they couldn't go 4K like the Studio Tour.
I’m in Disney right now and was really looking forward to a Walt Disney world video. Sadly, it’s universal, but it’s a very good video so I’m not too disappointed

Wow Good Timing on This Video I just recently Visited this Theme Park for the first time in 10 years!
I’m happy tmpvids is doing more than Disney. Please continue
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Jurassic Park/World ride’s theming, HOWEVER, It almost felt like I was gonna fly out of the car while going down the drop, that scarred me.
Ayo hi tpmvids good work on the vids
this video was helpful i’m actually going this weekend
I like the Secret Life of Pets ride. Besides "Disney standards" ain't what they used to be. Stuff like Ariel's Undersea Adventure, breaks down constantly.
You are awesome 😎
I’ve only been to the Florida one but I love universal
The fact that the Simpsons ride wasn’t even on the list not even as a honorable mention is wild
I’m going tomorrow last time I went me and Norman became besties
I had fun at Universal Studios Hollywood when I went back in 2021.
My favorite ride in universal is probably the hero Harry Potter one where you get on the motorcycle and sidecar
Yesssss anyone one!!!!
"As you em-BARK on your journey"
Nailed it.
i think youre the only youtuber to make me audibly go "OOH!" when i see a new upload. keep up the good work ;)
