This audition isn’t talked about enough, hands down one of the best performances ever. Not even for her age but for ANYONE! One of the biggest songs in the world and she killed it, in 2021 im still in awe after my 109774th time watching

Right? Usually they get roughly 90 seconds. Sarah is one of those exceptional talents that definitely deserved the extra time. She has acting in her blood. I'd love to see her on Broadway or the London equivalent.

I am still rewatching this in 2023. Literally the most underrated audition ever. And Simon’s humbling reminder to never doubt a young girl with a big voice and a bigger dream (like he doubted JHud on Idol). AMAZING JOB SARAH👏🏻
He had to eat crow. He was the 1st guest on her show. He claimed when he saw the song choice the show had chose was country he knew then she would struggle. It is a reality show. The winner was already picked before the show started like all reality shows. It enabled Jennifer to put her name out there and she ran with it.

In the UK their education system is different. She's in the right year for her age. But she definitely looks smart tbh

year 11 isn't equivalent to grade 11 but in the UK you do your GCSE's in year 11 so you're 15/16 years old and then if you go to 6th form/collage you can study A Levels for 2 years which is the qualifications that get you into university and you take those exams at 17/18 years old.

The way her daddy looks at her with so much pride is something every little girl should see in their daddy’s eyes.
"Don't judge the book by its cover ". Before she started singing, the man from the audience said " come on ---pick the right song" he didn't know that she is so talented.

I've watched this audition maybe 100 times. Sarah Ikumu should be a household name. She has a golden gift of singing straight from the heavens. Record producers have let her down by not promoting her. They've set a once in a lifetime pearl on the shelf. There's none better than Sarah.

Just for some context, this song is almost impossible to sing except for the most talented singers. The changes in key, timing, and tone are wild. And she does a great job at 15!

In my opinion, there hasn't been a better singer on the show. Most people don't understand how complex this song is...the swift change in keys, timing, tone...she has a crazy range...her performance is honestly unbelievably phenomenal

100% best vocalist this shows ever seen. The only worry I have is that there aren’t enough songs written that will allow her vocals to be UNLEASHED. Someone will have to write songs created specifically for her abilities. Like the greats! Bc she is definitely already one of that class.
Awesome voice. For a 15 year old she did great work, not saying that 15 year olds don't have talent. This was great. Her parents' proud moments with their daughter was award winning, I am right there with her as I was wishing her the best as I watch this. Love her voice and I wish all the best for her in life, great work and she deserves all the success that she can get.

I have seen many auditions, and here in 2023 for me this is the best ever. She can transmit all the emotions that contains the lyrics , and such a wonderful voice.
