I think your mother knew you were going to be an angel of mercy because she named you Michael like the archangel Michael. You have the kindness of a saint not just because you get food and supplies to homeless people but also because you treat them with love and respect and by doing so you also give them some dignity and respect they usually don't get from the majority of people. The day God calls you to go to heaven he will be personally waiting for you to greet you at the pearly gates because that's where you are going my friend....

I help when I can, but I've also been taken advantage of. If someone wants money for food I'll buy them something to eat. Thank you for assisting the houseless I hope to meet you someday.

Michael, I hate the self checkout too. I miss the days when stores appreciated customers.😮 The lady that checked me out at WalMart told me they were going to total self check out in January. 😪
I am in a wheelchair and Kroger had zero cashier lanes open...zero! I got in a self checkout lane where the person in front of me was going super slow, but it was a roomier lane so that might help me out. Waited, waited, and a cashier came and opened a lane and waved me in. I was never so thankful in my life...was like I was rescued. Silly that something so easy like a cashier at a giant grocery store was the one thing that I really really needed. Wasn't sure I could make it through self check out by myself...kinda worrisome, what would I do? Idk if cashier came because she saw that but instantly she had a long line behind me, people don't want to check themselves out! Why don't stores recognize that? I mean, let some ppl do that if they can and they want,, but give us the option to use a store cashier...in my situation I might even pay a premium for one, although that would be a hardship. This cashier, bless her heart, even bagged my groceries. Now why is that such a luxury, especially in a wheelchair....I didnt have tons, but was more then usual as I hadnt been to the store in a bit, no energy. Bless her...yes for doing her job, it matters.
They take jobs away from cashiers and they make the customers do all the work of checking out all the items and bagging. Sometimes I feel like going up to the main desk and asking for a paycheck after I am done checking out my items.

I was sitting here, in the warm, feeling sorry for myself, as I am black and blue and badly grazed, after falling off a wall on Wednesday.....as you do at 59!! Then I see this young lady walking off to nowhere, in the pouring rain, and it gave me a huge reality check. Bruises and cuts heal, but there is no promise that this lovely lady will get a place, this week, this month, or this year. Your a goodun Michael, don't stop doing what your doing.
