I still question the decision to make the anime's story different from the first booster and starter deck Really bad marketing and complicated gameplay really killed this game, it was hard learning and teaching this to others but once you grasp the whole thing it's actually pretty fun. And, let's not forget how unbalanced the very first set was, Mono Blue Aoi was so broken (so long as you don't misplay) that they eventually updated the rules to include a maximum hand size, the moment they made the rule update was when I knew 100% that the game is dead
I mean, I don't know if Japanwise the marketing was bad, it had 2 manga series and a web radio show as well, but perhaps if they were faster at releasing a social game or smartphone app that was the card game it could've done better? How could've they marketed it better? I'm sure some people may even say they should've devoted more time to the card game and less to the promotion itself.
Our old setup from when these were recorded wasn't ideal, the teleprompter with notes was off to the side, not a thing any more as you'll see with next week's new episode. Though it'll never be perfect since I'm still blind as a bat!
@@TCGHistory well that was unfortunate, 3 diehard people in my local suddenly stopped showing up a few years back even after the English production stopped, now I know why. Ashame actually
You gotta move your que card screen or whatever your using or find a way to read it faster/ memorize what you want to say. You look a bit odd *not* looking at the camera with your eyes darting back and fourth seemingly looking anywhere and everywhere but the camera. It's like those older movies/shows where the character is blind so they face the wrong direction while they talk AT the other characters rather than TO the other characters so the viewers at home know they are portraying a blind person. That being said, I like your vids, I like your topics.
I remember wanting to get into the game but never was able to buy it when it was alive, love the anime tho. It’s cliched but it’s a good binge through. I do still collect the cards cause it’s fun
I disagree maybe the card game was crap but the anime was good enough I think they should reboot it MAYBE bring the game back, and if they do definitely less sexualized and with better rules clarifications and a centralized combat system. The card game may have been trash but the anime was GOLD
Considering all the complaints people have about Yu-Gi-Oh!, including players, I wonder how this game died and Yu-Gi-Oh! is still going strong despite claims to the contrary made by the community.
ygo is too big to fail at this point, even when firewall FTK, double colossus + negates and sky striker engage draw 3, the game still didnt die. so konami has the leeway to accidentally fuck up a few sets in a year and the game will do fine unlike this sadly, im quite sure highrolling was a big problem in the game from what I heard but that was no different from ygo who goes first and sets up firewall
Luck and logic did have some really cool ideas but there was also a lot that was unnecessary, it could have used some simplifications
Bushiroad needed a little more luck and a little more logic to make make this game a success

Can you make a video about buddyfight?
Did you play Luck and Logic when it was alive? What did you like about it?
Never got to play it woth a friend but still have some of the promo decks they handed out at a con
Why it seems like your eyes always looking up during the video?

Luck and logic didn't even show gameplay, from what I've seen
I Loved the design on the cards couldn't ever understand how too play the card game so i never even tried
how come you never look during? :(((

I really dig your your channel and hope to see it continue. Cover Dragoborne. Also definitely plan to pick up the trails for this game.
Too many Wiafus? Or not enough?
Is this still going in Japan?
Nope! It did run a little longer thanks to the Hine logic rebrand bit that was short lived.

Doesn't help that the anime do not have any related to the card game
This game was fun, to bad it got cut
A spiritual successor could definitely happen, just fix and streamline some things
Shame that the game is ded, really enjoyed the anime and the gameplays
