Hello, I got in contact with the maker of the MOTOSCAN APP, he told me that in the next year he is going to implement the settings of the Indicator lights, so you can set it to a longer or shorter time to stay on and also the distance. Another thing he told me about the hand/footbrake switch, that didn't seem to be reconised by the MOTOSCAN APP, Could be that I was looking in the wrong module. So I am going to check that too for you and update all of you on my findings. The fact that the MotoScan tool and cable are so small and interfaces with your phone, it should make a perfect travel companion with you on a trip. If you encounter a problem out on the road you can diagnose the issue alongside the road or in a parking lot! Great video!!

Voor het onderhoud aan mijn R1200RT maak ik gebruik van jouw films. Ik ga ook de Motoscan aanschaffen kan ik gelijk het service interval lampje uitzetten (kosten bij de dealer € 50,-). Remvloeistof moet ik ook vervangen en met de Motoscan kan ik de pomp testen, dus de Motoscan is heel snel terug verdiend. Leuk cadeau voor onder de Kerstbooom. Groetjes en blijf video's maken.
I tried to purchase a UniCarScan UCSI-2000 adapter here in the USA and couldn't find one for sale. I contacted Wladimir and he told me those are only available in Germany and are apparently not exported. He suggested using the OBDLink LX device from Scantool. I purchased one today. Thanks for the video!
The Wi-Fi version of the GS-911 can be used via an app on your phone, iOS or android, or again use a laptop! Also you can refresh the software when you used the sidestand and any other checks, some checks require a refresh.

Very helpful comparison, not that I was thinking about buying GS-911! I'm sure I watched this and your other videos using dial tools for the F800GT last year. So in your video, you touched on wheel TPMS (with GS911) possible with 2 sets of wheels, something that I am interested in for my situation, one set of road tires and one set of very capable off road tires. I can not find information on the Motoscan having the ability to do the same. In the end, I would like for my 2023 GSA to recognize the TPMS in 2 sets of wheels for quick switch pending on where I plan to ride that day. Does the Motoscan app allow the ability to program a second set of wheels to be recognized by the new 2023 RDC system? I am under the impression I can do this with the GS911.......Thank you for a great video!
Purchasing through Amazon went as expected, smooth and quick. Product on the other hand is a huge letdown. I bought the Wi-Fi edition because I didn’t want to use cables as my desktop is in another room from the bike in the garage. It does not connect via Wi-Fi to my desktop, nor my iPad as it claims. When you get it to connect device to device, you do not have all the features. You will need the utility program and the operating program. Both requiring a Windows PC and you still have to pay the subscription fee to get the additional features.. additional features are not included as it stated, until you pay the subscription fee $99 annually. For a total of $526 I would recommend getting the Beamer utility and save yourself $400. Which has more function and features over the GS 911.

1:02:40 I tried resetting the service reminder in Motoscan Ultimate with one of the cheapest OBDII readers available. It was able to reset the mileage, but throws an error on the app when trying to reset the service date. It didn't hurt anything on my TFT-equipped 2021 F900R. I've since invested in the OBDLink MX+.
Same for me. Had a cheap OBD unit I used to program my Ram 2500 but I had to buy the OBDLink MX+ in order to reset service reminder. It works great with Motoscan and dealer wanted $75 to reset a service reminder. Save me $300 every time I change my 1200gs oil.
Hello, If you do the function test of the display. you can see on the bottom right corner a symbol for the handle heating? Would it be possible to have it lit when the button is activated? I have turned on the temperature of the tyres as you have shown in the video. Fun option.
What OBD Bluetooth device do you have? I have the Bimmergeeks Protool dongle and the Thor wifi adapter. But I cant seem to get either of them to connect?

Purchase the OBDLink MX Plus. It is specifically for BMW motorcycles. The GS911 is so over priced. If you are going to use Moto Scan I would suggest purchasing the ultimate version. I have been using Moto Scan for a while and I can't fault it.

Interesting comparison although neglected to mention you can read and clear fault codes on the gs-911 on unlimited bikes also using a phone not laptop, only the service aspect is limited to 10 vins & you can use service functions via Wi-Fi & gs-cloud. Overall good comparison with a clear winner on value for money, hexcode need to start taking note on this aspect or loose the marketplace they have. Great videos really liked the rear shock fix 👍👏🏻

You showed on the GS911 only the items that also exist on Motoscan and you concluded that Motoscan was better based on the price. if it had shown all the capabilities of the GS911, the result would have been clearly in favor of the GS911.... After all: do you buy a scanner for the price or for its performance???

Daar had ik iets over knipperlicht gezien. Nu zoek ik naar een handleiding. Er zijn zo veel functies die je aan een uit kan zetten...

Hello Old Mechanic, Comparing the Professional version of the GS911 is not correct. You should compare the price of the Enthusiast version, which is half the price, around 350 Euros. There are a big number of Real Time Values (RTV) that only the GS911 displays. GS911 plots important graphs like Lambda probes, you can see in RTV on the graph if they are OK or not. In the GS911 you can interface with any device: computer, tablet, Handy iOs or Android, with cable, Wifi or Bluetooth connection. On the GS911 you can ride with the bike and collect data (Data Logger) to analyze up to 64 parameters of the bike in operation and running on the switch. If you really want to have all the parameters and be able to configure them, the GS911 is far superior to the Motoscan

So if I need to calibrate fuel sensor strip (after replacing) on 07 GSA the Motoscan app should be capable of it? Thx
Allthough I never did that, it is possible with the Motoscan app to calibrate the fuel sensor strip, Vojta.
Yes it should work, was just talking with a guy on Facebook and he has done a fuel strip with the motoscan app and it worked for him.

Comparing the Professional version of the GS911 is not correct. You should compare the price of the Enthusiast version, which is half the price, around 350 Euros.
There are a big number of Real Time Values (RTV) that only the GS911 displays.
GS911 plots important graphs like Lambda probes, you can see in RTV on the graph if they are OK or not.
In the GS911 you can interface with any device: computer, tablet, Handy iOs or Android, with cable, Wifi or Bluetooth connection.
On the GS911 you can ride with the bike and collect data (Data Logger) to analyze up to 64 parameters of the bike in operation and running on the switch.
If you really want to have all the parameters and be able to configure them, the GS911 is far superior to the Motoscan

Your right IF you have the GS911 wifi... I don't have, and since I have the MotoScan App I never used my GS911 again as now i have unlimited VIN's and this all for: UCSI-2100 OBD2 Bluetooth 4.0 Scanner $80 + cable $19 + MotoScan App ULTIMATE version $55.. Free updates.. no anual fees..
