The Soviet Union dominated ‘Warsaw Pact’ military organization did indeed develop several incredibly detailed plans, including one titled ‘Seven Days To The River Rhine’ for the invasion of ‘Western Europe’ from the mid 1960’s to 1979 and updated into the early 1980’s as the news reports below confirm.
