    I found one of these in a basement of a house I was helping clean out. It was trashed and rusted. After some elbow grease and some heavy love I now have a nice refurbished beautiful .117 springer my kids have an absolute blast with!

    Great video, keep them coming. Big fan of the 630. Titan springs are readily available from Canadian suppliers. You can order them in many widths and coil diameter. If the right one is too long I just cut off the necessary amount of coils and de burr the edge.

    I would like to add that this spring is the same for the Slavia 630 and 631, it can be used for the 620, but we have a manufacturer of nitro springs here. That's a different league.

    The 630 is a great rifle. Have had one since late 70's or early 80. It doesn't have the F symbol and is my most accurate break barrel. Shoots around 570's.

    Great video. The 630 Model 77 was an upgrade introduced in 1977 on the original 630. I have an original 630 model from 1977. Not sure what the upgrades were because your Model 77 and my old 630 seem pretty much identical. I had a 620 too, which was also very well made, but still more agricultural than the 630. The trigger and rear sight are the weak points, but overall Slavia air rifles were great value.

    About the spring that doesn't fit the rear guide.. The spring guide on 630's is a bent sheet metal with a cut. That makes it adjustable to fit a spring. So you can widen it or squeeze it a bit. And I have noticed in your video that your guide's cut is little open. Just press it to fit the spring's inner diameter.

    Greetings from the Czech republic. Almost everything can be found here for these air rifles. Unfortunately, the postage to you will be high. I am attaching the dimensions of the spring. The output was primarily set to 7.5 Joulu. I wish you happy and long use of your Slavia. Sorry for the English - Google Translate. Length: 234 mm, Outer diameter: 19 mm, Inner diameter: 13mm, Wire thickness: 3.04 mm. Number of threads: 37 threads

    I read somewhere pressing the trigger with the safety on, then taking the safety off and then press the trigger to fire remove the crimp. I since always shoot this way.

    My near-mint (first) 630 arrived today. I'm a pretty experienced rifle shooter (age 68: prev. two purchases are FALs in .308), but this very attractive pellet rifle doesn't work.
    .....No holes appear in the huge cardboard box in my attic from 6' away......
    With a 4.5/.177 pellet loaded exactly as in multiple videos, you hear the internal air release but nothing comes out of the bore. Pellets go maybe 1/4 of the way into the bore and stop--block the light....
    Pellets are "4,5/.177 euSta Made in Germany", and each pellet easily rolls on a smooth surface.
    Naturally with an empty chamber when testing you feel some air come out the bore. Could a near-mint 630 have an Internal gas leak? I've never disassembled an air rifle. If you fully disassemble, then how do you diagnose a possible air leak?

      Well, assuming nothing is blocking the bore, my main concern would be with the piston seal - it's likely crumbled, cracked, or split and the rifle isn't generating enough pressure to move the pellet. If the rifle makes crunchy, nasty noises when cocking, you could have a broken spring (but even then, broken spring rifles have been known to still shoot, if poorly).

    I have my trigger at just a hair over a pound. Won't go off by jarring the rifle but takes very little to set off with the trigger. Not glove friendly. LOL

    way ju must this gun recoling?I recoling never a airgun and when jou must een pellts have you dont smeyling and this schoothing evri day

    • @canuckair
      @canuckair  ปีที่แล้ว

      The recoil from a spring piston airgun can be serious enough to affect accuracy, and also mess up cheap scopes. But the recoil doesn't come from the pellet going down the barrel, but from the piston surging forward. Newton's Laws apply ... always.
