Your Olitski style prints remind me of using a gel plate to make cool prints. The gel plates you can buy are smallish, but some people make their own plates in big trays like cookie sheets.
What the great vid! I like both, neat and interesting :)) and maybe more the base in the end.. 'accidents' are always very exciting. Thanks for this beautiful inspiration!
I like Jules art work, although I was unfamiliar with him, very colorful, and it makes me want to try some of that pouring technique. There are a lot pouring examples on YT, and a lot of artist use a pin to help pop the bubbles. Olitski's art reminds me a bit of Yui Kugimiya in that they were both abstract, colorful, and deal with shape. Do I like neat or interesting artwork? Well, it all depends. I tended to like Olitski's smoother work, but I like both, neat & interesting. Thanks Albert.
Hi Culture Fan, thanks. Oh yes, it always depends about smooth or interesting or messy. Just as with all other options like medium or raw for your steak. That's also the beauty of an artist like Olitski, he made both. I will look into the artist you named, thanks. Bye, Albert
Albert, I love your classes, I don't suppose you can be convinced to make a video on how to paint like Schiele or Klimt please :) ???? Thank you for sharing the feeling we can try and be brave in our art.
Hi Lulu, thanks. Schiele and Klimt are great but also quite complex. I look for ways to simplify it al and still experience the idea of the artists. I will put them on my list and see if i now can find my way . Albert
Your videos are always educational and fun! …and also you have introduced me to many painters whose works I was not aware of. I wonder if you could make a video on Mark English, American painter?
Hi Junco, thanks, nice to hear. Mark English's artwork looks very interesting. I will put him on my list of ideas to look into. Thanks for pointing me in his direction. Bye, Albert
Hi Brixi, thanks. His art looks like fun, summertime and playful. I'll put him on my list. But it can take several weeks because I will take a break uploading in 2 weeks. We will start redoing the ground floor of our home, I hope it will be ready after two weeks 😁 Bye, Albert
Great as usual!! Can you explain how you mount your paintings and frame them? Or do you use narrow canvas panels? I like your video’s very much. They give some inspiration during the lockdown!
Hi Peter, thanks. I have one empty frame with a foam board mounted in it. I use pieces of masking tape to temporarily (only for the photograph) mount the sheet with the painting on it. Take picture and go over to the next one. If I don't forget it, I will show it in a behind the scenes video in the coming weeks. Hops this helps. Bye, Albert P.S. stay safe
Thanks, Enrica. I watched my own video, fun, and I liked both and all, actually. It's not a question of which one. They all are good, for different reasons. And as I often mention, only by do, do, doing you can find out. Albert
Hi Judith, thanks for asking. It's a 200 grams multipurpose paper. Maybe this one can answer some other questions as well: th-cam.com/video/H2vpSqvUESg/w-d-xo.html Just enjoy making whatever you make. Albert
I liked both of them, but the print makes me smile more. Love this way of working.
Thanks Kathy, the print was fun to do. Albert
@ 7:58 - This was transformational for me. I love Jules' and his circle/cell period but I had no idea he 'poured" paint directly onto canvas. Spot on.
Thanks Daniel, I liked him, an interesting artist. Lots to learn from his way of working. Happy painting, Albert
Great lesson, as always. And at the end, definitely the dog playing with a ball on the right ~!~
Thanks, Rich, always fun to hear. Albert
Thank you! Your videos are very motivating to me😊
Hi Dawn, thanks, enjoy. Albert
Play time, ice cream, printmaking? Say no more, I’m in heaven! Thank you Albert for this dynamic and fun video
Hi Franca, thanks. As you could I had a blast making it. Bye, albert

Thanks, Barbh1. Oh, I keep forgetting to buy gelplates, I would love to play with them. I would go for a bigger one as well. Albert
What the great vid! I like both, neat and interesting :)) and maybe more the base in the end.. 'accidents' are always very exciting. Thanks for this beautiful inspiration!
Thanks Paneko1, indeed accidents in your painting are nice. Albert

Miss you today.
Thanks Sharon, it feels strange not to upload a video. But I did get your comment, thanks. See you next week. Albert
Imperfect Paintings Good. Many of us get a lot out of your lessons. You give us great food for thought.
Hey Albert! Can you do a lesson on Romero Britto? Thanks xx
