If I only had 20% of the traffic coming through my local line I,d be a happy chappie. All your time and effort is very much appreciated.Cheers Mike and long may you continue.
Glorious, Mike, knew i would be stressed out at this! Yes your right they just kept on coming and coming! The first clip of Redshed could have done with a damned good clean! What a location even a mecca for top quality freight action! As i expected hugely enjoyed, loved it! Have a great warm weekend, regards Nick.Oh the gb crossover was sublime almost unreal, what a great stroke of luck that was!
Yes I was pleased Nick I had my camcorder with me, so I stopped of for about a hour as I was only twenty mins from home, thanks very much for your nice comment, ATB Mike.
I am lucky as I only live 20 mins away by car, its very good but I don't like to go there to much, as I like to film far and wide as you know Brian. ATB Mike.
I have been to Water Orton Stn quite a few times, it's a good Stn for freight trains as well as passenger trains. I used to cycle from Coventry to Water Orton. But now I am In the South West of England. It's a bit far for me to go there now.
Oh yes Ian its a bit to far from the West of England to cycle there, but fair play to you cycling from Coventry in the past. Yes its still a good station for as you say freight trains but now at as good for passenger trains as we only get two HST workings each way, and no 47s like we used to get on crosscountry services. Thanks for watching. Mike.
Excellent video! Would make a good site for a Rail Cam camera! Also has anyone else noticed the DB 66’s in EWS colours are starting to look very tatty! I saw the Gypsum train in York and it was filthy, couldn’t even see the number!
Water Orton I Absolutely Love D Name ckd Google n Warwickshire a mouthful n looks beautiful locations etc. tks Mike so much Tesco Again We don't habe them in rails here only 5million population Brian
Wow Mike you had an amazing day out what a great variety of freight traffic.... My favourite was the cement train.... Great stuff you keep delivering Mike 👍👍👍
Another spectacular session there Mike! Wow! Amazing shots and captures there! Glad you caught these! Lovely workings and crossovers! Nice 170s in the mix of freights! Superb variety and action! Excellent detailing and camera work! Great stuff! Top class! No faults at all! Well done! Water Orton is a good one, you chose a good time to go! I loved the Hope tankers! Good engineer at the end too! Some of the shots and captures you get are wonderful! Very nice indeed! Loooooooooooooved it! Really enjoyed, thanks for sharing! Take care, have an awesome day and all the best! Jamie
That is a interesting point Jeff, thanks for your interest in my latest video. Where can I go this week on Thursday or Friday as the weather should be ok.
Yes I do John, I did some late night early morning filming in the dark a few months back. I used to go more before the weeds took over the end of the platform.
Why are so many intermodal trains inefficiently loaded, especially those operated by Freightliner, resulting in the locos hauling empty trailer units ?
I would suspect with scheduled running the train leaves to a time rather than full loading . The same rake of wagons will stay together for a week or so.
Great piece of filming Mike, i liked the way you caught the cement coming round the curve. Out of interest, is the pub still there ? i don't recall that car park being so big.
Water Orton never fails to impress me with the amount of traffic. Great video
Couldn't agree more mate.

You are right about some of the DB shed being very dirty, I would understand if it was December but not now in March Stevie, cheers for your comment.

Why are so many intermodal trains inefficiently loaded, especially those operated by Freightliner, resulting in the locos hauling empty trailer units ?
That I can only guess i's the way the world is at the moment Terence.
I would suspect with scheduled running the train leaves to a time rather than full loading . The same rake of wagons will stay together for a week or so.
