11:44 "What do you think's goin' on in his head?" - If it's available to y'all on Netflix, you guys ought to check out _Mindhunter._ It's the dramatized story of the beginnings of the Behavioral Science Unit (now called the Behavioral Analysis Unit) of the FBI, the agents that profile and help catch serial killers. When they first started, the first thing they did was set up interviews with various serial killers already in prison. They recorded interviews with questions about their family backgrounds, their reasons for killing, what they did afterwards, etc. Although it's a drama, the interviews are fascinating. It's an awesome show. I'm sorry it's over. There are many reasons serial killers kill. There's family background, looking for control, sexual gratification, and others.
Things have become SO much stricter now, over the past 15 - 20 years. Possibly the biggest difference is how certain medications are dispensed in the UK: we have different “schedules” for different medications, as do many nations. BUT here they are super tightly controlled. Eg: “Controlled Drugs”, which includes morphine, diamorphine (heroin), fentanyl, Oxycodone, and a bunch of other opiates, must be prescribed in a very specific way. Unlike with other medication that’s nowhere near as toxic (eg blood pressure medications), prescriptions for Controlled Drugs (or ‘CDs’) must be originals, cannot be faxed, must be written in a certain way by the doctor; the pharmacy must keep these meds in a separate, locked cabinet, and ID presented whenever they’re collected; and all family doctors CD prescriptions are checked randomly for accuracy etc. So it’s almost impossible for an opioid epidemic (as happened in the US) to happen here. There are many other checks & balances, meaning both doctors and pharmacists are super careful with CDs as they will lose their license very easily....
Here in America, we had Dr. Kevorkian which killed over 130 patients but they were assisted, old people that were just tired or done with the pain of their illness and Kevorkian would euthanize them. People still call him evil and that it was not consensual but tell you what, when I reach 75-80, I'll be looking for my generations Kevorkian to off me, otherwise I'll have to do it myself
All I heard in the video they are watching is -mother mother mother. Feels like the writer has a mommy complex. Oh he had a sense of superiority-his mother helped create it even though we know literally nothing about his home life. Must always blame the parents especially mom of serial killers.
Love the channel. You guys should react to Adrian Peterson highlights when he was on the Vikings! Or Russell Wilson highlights of the Seattle Seahawks! Lol
One thing's for sure. I'm glad he's dead. People that betray trust that horribly make me sick. The only thing I can figure is that it's a god complex, which is a problem for some docs anyway. My wife is from London, so I know a fair bit about your legal and police system, and you're right. How they operate just confounds me. The seem to show zero urgency until they have no other choice. In related news to what you were talking about at the end, the BBC is an absolute joke at this point. They just need to be shut down entirely.
@@kevinb314 ok so then that means he'd show up to like a check up for someone kill them and leave and let someone discover the body? U would think after a couple times of him being the last person to see people alive would have someone start paying attention. Like I get how a doctor would do it in a hospital and get away with it for so long.
Shipman's last meal was a large curry. When asked if he enjoyed the meal he replied that he did, but he could still murder a naan.
Hilariously fucked up! 😂
waaaaaayyyy hahahaha

Very informative reaction followed by an interesting discussion. Thank you for posting! 🙂♥️
I believe my dad (aged 76) went to the same school as Harold Shipman in Nottingham!!!

Wish Netflix would hit us with a mini-series about "The Beast" or "The Monster of the Andes"... those were like really fucked up serial-killers...
You should check out Canada's most notorious serial killer: Robert "Willie" Pickton.
robert pickton............... on ronnie pickering!? 😂😂
Is that the pig guy?
@@maxg8651 Yep.

Why did they make this into a cheery cartoon lol it's grim as hell
Even here in America taking Morphine kind of puts people on edge because of this.
The thumbnail typo lol
He was my doctor when i was a teenager in todmorden. he was suspected of killing my next door neighbour
actually the title angel of death is still held firmly by the world war 2 holocaust german doctor joseph mengele.
Angel of Death is not a title, but a subcategory of serial killer: A doctor or medical professional who kills their patients.
Sounds like the NHS’s budget manager

There are people in the US with the surname, Hitler. I saw a doc on them.
delectable doctor?
You should check out Richard Kuklinski "The Ice Man".
Guys you should check out the BTK killer.
The thumbnail though.
Intentionally International?
So what did he sneak into his patients houses and give them a fatal dose of morphine or were they home visits? I've never had a doctor in my home
Doctors doing home visits used to be a common practice, especially with the elderly

@@kevinb314 locum (on call doctors) visits here in Australia, still reasonably common, although not as cheap anymore.
That's bullshit trying to pin his psychopathy on his mother in any way.
Internationally, lol? You changed it in the heading!
*intentionally
My question is, how was he allowed to still practice after forging prescriptions to feed his opioid habit??
