I was probably 15 when I first discovered Suburban Living. They were opening up for Frankie Rose- we had discovered her when she opened up for White Lies at the Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill, NC when I was in 5th grade. My family met Wesley Bunch and he was immediately impressed with my sister and I's knowledge and love for 80's post-punk and new-wave music. (Thanks Dad for educating us on the superior genres of music and now the pop-smut the play on the radio today-love ya). He gave me my 1st 45 and 2nd record (Devo's Freedom Of Choice 12-inch was my first ever record)- it was their Always Eyes 45 which featured Video Love on side B. Suburban Living needs to come back to Chapel Hill because unlike other shows I've been to at the Cat's Cradle, I now live there for college. They also need to hurry and release How To Be Human already. Xx
