Most memorable trip of this year would have to be Chinook fishing on the Thompson River. Fought with a massive spring for an hour before finally landing it. So much adrenaline and excitement!
My favourite memory from this past year was taking out my partner and teaching her a new technique. I think it was daunting at first, but after a few tries she landed one and was shocked it worked!
My most memorable fishing time this past year was fishing a small back lake in a small tinner... I took out a bunch of kids (nieces, nephews, and my own children. We had non-stop action! Having Triple headers, double headers, and even one quadruple header. It was complete chaos! So many laughs and cheering from the kids. Most fish were beautiful keeper Walleye... there were also some Bass, Perch and Crappie in the mix. I have never experienced such an amazing outting. To top it off it started pouring rain 😂... and the bite just kept coming. Absolutely loved seeing the kids beaming and doing so well catching! It was a lot of work but it was so worth it!
My most memorable event this year was having enough mobility to hike to some shoreline I had not been well enough to for 12 years! I didn't catch anything memorable but it was joyous for sure.
The morning my son and I were fishing at Paterson Creek off the Rideau Cannel and he landed a huge pike! It was awesome. Urban Fishing Rocks!!! Thanks for this great program.
Most memorable moment was when took our new fishing boat out on May 24 weekend this year. So many new gadgets to play with and learn about. It was a fun time.

Every time we go fishing is memorable and for some reason my daughter always, ALWAYS catches a bigger fish than me. It's becoming a little bit of a challenge now but as much as I'd love to land the big one, a part of me is glad I don't. Merry Christmas and keep fishing with family and friends.
My most memorable fishing experience this year was the pike I reeled in while I was fixing my line. I thought I was snagged...nope! A beauty pike was on and we got it in the boat. Exciting!
Most memorable of the year was when we took possession of our cottage. The kids were catching so many rockbass I couldn't get my own line wet. But after they went in for lunch I tried casting into some likely nooks and caught a nice big smallmouth. I could see the kids eyes bugging out through the window.
for this past seasons most memorable outing would be when we took out my grandson 3yr and granddaughter 2yr and there excitement when they were catching many fish (perch, sunfish, and small mouth bass, since then my grandson is always asking to go fishing with grandpa.I am quite proud that he has this desire just like his mama.
This past season we had a spectacular two hours of late afternoon walleye fishing below a big drop in an eddy on the Allanwater in Wabakimi Provincial Park in northwestern Ontario. It did not matter what we presented as they just kept biting. We were able to keep releasing until we had four perfect eating sized walleye for our group. We camped just a few hundred meters downstream and returned early morning to get another four to enjoy a wonderful breakfast.
My most memorable experience from this year was when we took our friends' family fishing on our 'toon. They don't fish but we put them onto some double and triple header fun, plus they rang up the grand slam with 3 species in one trip, so a great day had by all!
Our most memorable catch did not involve a lure or rod. My husband and I found a beautiful 15 acre lake in Northern Ontario that we got to have to ourselves for a week. I did not catch any fish on the trip except for a decent size perch in my minnow net. We enjoyed it for dinner and the next morning we found the minnow net tore apart by a big old snapping turtle!
I have to great memories from this summer first was taking my 5 year old son out for some rainbow fishing he hooked amd landed his forst rainbow trout at 2 lbs 15 ounces 17 inch and the second was finally getting out voat out on the water both kids where not so sure of it but once they where on it they loved it can't wait for summer to get here

My most memorable moment this year is when my son and grandson went fishing at a trout stocked city lake and were not having any success. My grandson, who is 10 decided that he wanted to throw a small minnow type jerkbait and on his first cast with it, he caught a keep sized trout. I was so proud of him! He has now got his own tackle box and spinning reel and collecting lures.
My most memorable fishing experience would be, bringing my son shopping for fishing gear and seeing how excited he was to see all the fishing gear at the local store! Unfortunately we couldn't make it out for a cast this year, so this is definitely mine for the year
My most memorable was my first time. I was so excited to have something on the line. Turns out I caught a clam with a pile of weeds. We laughed so hard, that the laughter was the best part of the day.
My personal fav memory is fishing with my cousin on the dock at the cottage when we were young. She would cast and I would reel. We brought in a decent size pike and we both started screaming. We had never caught anything bigger than a sunfish. We both refused to swim for the rest of the week. lol So many great memories with my little guy. His first pike he was so exited it was all he talked about for weeks!
I didnt get out much this year myself but my son & I did the kids fishing derby here in our town and he caught his first fish by himself it was a proud moment that's for sure!
I have two moments that stand out. 1 having my 9 -yr old son net a nice pike for me while on the dock...and 2. catching my first musky ever this year (on the kayak nontheless!). Fun times, looking to many more next season!
Funny that it's a pike lure box because my most memorable is hooking into a trophy pike 32+ inches long on 10 lb mono. Didn't have a big enough net so couldn't get it in the boat when I tried grabbing the gills to pull it in for a photo, but the 5 minute long fight was so memorable!
While moose hunting north of Thunder Bay, I had the opportunity to watch my father and younger brother test out a new fishing spot for pickerel. Can't wait to try it next year with a canoe!

I have to say my most memorable day of fishing was when we went fishing on Whatcom lake and the propellor came off the boat. WE fished and had fun, then had to be towed to the dock.
My most memorable fishing experience from this year was the first day I used my down riggers for salmon. Never used down riggers before other than other peoples boats so it was a learning experience. I hooked into ten fish that day and landed 7.
My most memorable fishing experience from this year was fishing off our dock at camp. I caught 12 pike one right after another. As soon as a put my lure in the water they hit. My neighbours were having a bonfire and were watching me fish. After they saw I was catching fish like crazy they all got their rods and started fishing off their dock. I was the only lucky one that evening.
Unfortunately, I didn't get much fishing done this year, but my most memorable moment was having a painted turtle trying to eat the worm off the hook. It was very neat to watch.
My most remembered was reeling in the biggest pike I’ve caught on my week old rod , and snapping it 😂 still was a beautiful day and ended up taking home great bass! If gave up after my rod snapped then I wouldn’t have caught my biggest bass this season!
Most memorable fishing experience would be from our month long road trip out to the East Coast where we were able to catch a mackerel and a flounder for the first time!
In August when my stepson caught a 5 1/2 pound largemouth in a foot and a half of water, dragging a senko over a grass mat. The yips and shrieks that came out of him were hilarious. The kid is now “hooked” 😂
My most memorable fishing experience this year was netting whitefish in November. I never did it before and I caught my limit in an hour! I am making a smoker in my welding shop for smoking them now
My most memorable fishing moment was catching a bass on a 5/8 oz. Frog pattern Arbogast Jitterbug lure. The bass scared the crap out of me as he struck the lure just when I was reeling the lure up for the next cast.

My most memorable catch was I was out for a bike ride and I carry a telescopic rod and small fishing kit in my saddle bags on my bicycle and decided to take a rest at the water shore and decided I might as well do a few casts, I ended up catching a 21 inch small mouth bass lol
I only got to fish a couple times this past year. We were extremely busy this summer past. I caught a 1lb fish thought l had a really big bass on. Still happy l caught one. Released it
Quit my job and gave 2 weeks notice. They walked me out that afternoon. Spent two weeks fishing till my new job started. Was worth it caught a 30” walleye on an unfamiliar lake.

We went deep-sea fishing in Cancun, and Hubby caught a sailfish!! Exhilarating when the fish leaped out of the water!

I use to feel only live bait can catch fish! This year I tried a lot of different plastics, and find out all work for certain time.
