Wow! I think this is the first time that I held my breath in awe watching someone chop and dice! I'll be rewatching this vid, number one reason - P's mother's skills.

I really appreciated this lovely and thoughtful video. Watching P's mom cut up the veggies was mesmerizing! Sadie, I can tell that you have a sensitive and compassionate heart. It is sad to think of those rabbits, living in cages, are destined to be killed and eaten. I admire both you and P for having that q & a at the end. I encourage everyone to think about where the meat, dairy, fish, or eggs on their plate came from and what kind of life that animal lived before it was slaughtered (or worse for dairy cows, babies taken away). Yes the slaughtering is terrible (really terrible) but often so is the "life" of an animal that is brought into the earth solely to be used by humans. I think about these things a lot, and I recently became vegan because of it. I am sending a lot of love your way. Plants are our future. Peace!

Im a vegetarian for over 5 years, and I want to say something to everyone who says stuff about the cages and the rabbits being bred to end up on a plate, a lot of these folks dont know much better they grew up this is the life they know they dont spend time on youtube educatinjg themselves on varies diets or dont learn about alternative lifestyles so before you judge others be empathetic and accept the fact that not everyobne has the same luxury as you do not the same knowledge upbringing etc.
Agree. However I would imagine that lifestyle in some 3rd world countries, not Italy. BTW I'm vegan 👍

This video was educative. And I also learnt that the person I thought was P's mom actually is Sadie's. It was really troubling me in the age gap mother & daughter. I learnt that on the " my mom and P baking video". Its so funny how your mom and your girlfriend really look alike.😁
P's parents are adorable, very strong and hard working person. Having fruit orchard, keeping animals, vegetable gardens etc that's cool and very good example to our generation. I love it.
I'm sure Sadie you feel more at home and don't feel sad about the rabbits. Its the food chain as long we don't JUDGE ANYBODY FOR WHAT THEY EAT.

Nice about the soup. P's momma has mad skills ! I'm sure a lot of people would change their minds about "meat" eating if they had to "look" their dinner in the face. A good many people are aware of how horrible the conditions are for most "food" animals and just don't care. Indifference and apathy mixed with convenience will currently win the day for this discussion. While it is a bit sad that the bunnies are raised for eating it is their way of life. P's father does make the effort to keep them well fed and comfortable even if in cages. I haven't any aspersions to cast in his direction Thank you for sharing

Thank you for showing Ps mum and cooking, shame about the rabbits but I know thats how they live etc. The cats were lovely and the garden, very much like Turkey. Maybe one day mamma cooks a real pizza or pasta. Molto grazie💕❤️🌻🌻🌻

P's mom's cutting skills are goals! It would have taken me at least an hour to cut all those vegetables (on a cutting board) 😅
Its a bit hypocrite.. just because rabbits are cute people don't want to eat them but what about chicken lams etc
chicken, lambs, cows, rabbits all have the capacity to feel love, fear and pain just like us. So you are exactly right there is no difference. We can be healthy on a plant based diet and avoid causing suffering.

So if it is not okay to make a difference between a rabbit and a pig, why is it then okay to make a difference between a dog and a cow? Everywhere around people believe different animals deserve to live a life free of being enslaved and killed and others don't.
@@mariemai2902 i lost you there. For me its the same. Wether you eat a dog rabbit cow or pork. We dont need to eat meat everyday but there s also no need to force everyone in to the plantbased lifestyle

Buonissimo! Al nord facciamo solo il minestrone con le verdure surgelate. Pero' io vivo in Cambogia quindi qui tutte le verdure sono freschissime. Sadie, I just said that the minestrone is great. In Northern Italy, where I'm from though my dad is from Calabria and my mum from Sardegna, we make minestrone with frozen vegetables but P's mum's way is the best. However, I live in Cambodia and here all veggies are fresh for the entire year. A big hug girls, ciao!

Seeing those beautiful rabbits in cages saddened me and made me think about what I've heard recently: "Animals are not just other species, they are other nations." I try to worry less about their suffering because I notice people's awareness and morality shifting and this means that in the future (hopefully not so distant) veganism will become the norm. Sadie you have a gentle heart, keep it open because this world needs healing..

I saw this in northern Italy, too. It’s a rural thing, and many people keep them this way. Rabbit is supposed to be a good meat, very popular in Italy and France. I’m a veggie and wouldn’t them either, but if you are going to eat meat, I’d argue this is more ethical than factory farming, since it’s surely more humane to raise something with some respect and care, and then give it a quick death. It is sad to see them so confined, though.

geeeeze this brought back detailed memories of watching my Sicilian Mom & Dad cutting veggies from the garden ...they always did it in mid-air. just like P's Mom :)..very pro at doing it....like look at how she cuts the zucchini! I don't even own a cutting board for the same reason...it's that mid-air technique...hahaha! Such a little jolt to my memory but made me reminisce. oh my then the figs out in the backyard, more memories!! :) "S" dear...you're right...there's "gay" in every species... much research has been done on this. we're the ones who make it such an issue...hahaha. For every other species...it's simply natural!...oh yea and for us gays... so only 1/2 of our species makes a big deal of it. no can do the rabbit thing either! love you both.............................L

He treats them better then the farm animals that are slaughtered 24/7. The pigs hung upside down and having their throats cut and then struggling to breathe through their slashed bloody throat. The chickens squeezed in one small area that start to cannibalize eachother, the cows basically being raped and chained to give milk. The calves who are not allowed to ever stand or grow into adulthood, so that people can eat veal. The baby piglets who have their balls clipped off without any numbing agent or stiches. ALL of the boy chicks who are thrown into grinders as soon as they hatch and etc. My grandpa raised rabbits to sell for meat in the 1950s-1960s and he would just twist their neck really fast. They never knew and didnt feel pain. Her dad keeps their environment clean and they look very healthy and fat. They have a good life and then never know they died. They could have it a lot worse.
So cute and beautiful this animals and they are fast growers . I don't eat rabbits because I consider them as pets .

Sorry. I do not and would not eat rabbits that I raised. Very sad. I also added a rabbit as a pet for over 8 years. My sister had 7 rabbits, we loved them. But everyone is different, it's just not something I would do.

So because because they will have their lives taken so they can be eaten, they are not deserving of basic quality of life? If anything, they should live happy wonderful lives in return for being murdered.
