Just to add some experience, a while back I did something similar and discovered that the little black wire connected to the airbag is what completes the circuit for the horn along with the 4 copper pads on the frame of the wheel (which you can see in the video), if not reinstalled carefully it can slip off slightly when turning the wheel. I found out when my horn randomly went off as I turned at a round-about. 💀
yeah mate for sure. The rims are 16"x8" with 0 offset. Also running 285/75-16 MT tyres. The 0 offset makes them sit flush with the guard which was what I was looking for. Legal enough to not have to install flares. Just keep in mind there was cutting involved to fit my setup... Check out my video on the body mount chop to get more info!
It’s impossible to get modern cars apart without videos like this to show where all the hidden clips are, thanks so much !!!
No problem 👍
Thanks for your video mate. Just replaced my wheel tonight. Took a bit of time rewinding and rewatching it step by step, but got there in the end.
Great video well instructed.
Thanks a million guys, was having trouble changing the steering wheel on my series2 sv6, and your video really helped. So thanks 😊
Glad it helped!
Thanks mate it helped me out big time
Perfect timing about to put my hsv wheel on this weekend and needed some help 😂

Looks sick as mate 🔥🔥🔥
i honestly wish i learnt about cars in school. i’m tryna change my wheels with zero knowledge 😫
I'd have to throw the airbag to someone and say, think quick 😂😂
hey mate what battery terminal did u take off to remove airbag off steering wheel.
I think I disconnected both the positive and negative leads
Are there any aftermarket wheels that can be used that still have the airbag
There probably is but I’m not certain. This is a factory wheel reupholstered in alcantara
how can i get one of these?
its was a stock wheel that was custom wrapped
Hey mate I'm just wondering about the Colorado, do you happen to know the offset of your rims?
Thanks.
