    1 John 2:27 ........ "As for you, the anointing which
    you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His
    anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught
    you, you abide in Him." ........yet no preacher tells you that. God showed me personally.

    Watching this made me emotional and made me cry. I made me think of the reason why I hinder myself in my relationship with God. I'm a terrible Christian, mainly because I cringe when people talk about God. Too many times I've seen people hurt other in the name of God.
    When I was younger my step-mom abused me and used the Bible as justification for that.
    As a teenager my youth pastor gave my group a list of people he didn't like with liberals, Catholics, gays, etc on the list.
    Here recently I was at my state capital and before they did anything they prayed, but right after they did they talked about cutting programs that helped the starving, the poor and the needy.
    I'm also a bad Christian because I believe that men and women are equal, that you can be born gay, and because I respect differences (even if they are religious differences). I've been told numerous times that being tolerant makes you a bad Christian.
    This is why watching this video touched me so much.

    I’m a cradle Catholic, but I had never heard anyone mentioned a personal relationship with Jesus until after I turned 64. I first heard of this idea during a bible studying session, when one non-Catholic Christian said: “It doesn’t matter what church you belong to; your personal relationship with Jesus is all that is important.” I didn’t agree for I was taught that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church, but not knowing what to say, I remained silent. I thought: Wow! What’s a good way to keep people away from church. I quickly forgot about this idea, but a few weeks later, I heard the same expression, this time from a practicing Catholic. Again, I didn’t agree nor did I know what to say; I brushed off the idea as no more than an attempt to be politically correct. I didn’t think about this idea afterward, but then, it hit me one day when a priest told the same group, myself included, that until recently, he didn’t know that our relationship with Jesus is so important. Well! I was perplexed, but at least he didn’t say, it doesn’t matter what church you belong to, I thought. I pondered upon what he said, and decided to check it out. And, behold, here’s what I found, Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraphs 299, 796, 1309: (299) Because God creates through wisdom, his creation is ordered: "You have arranged all things by measure and number and weight."151 The universe, created in and by the eternal Word, the "image of the invisible God", is destined for and addressed to man, himself created in the "image of God" and called to a personal relationship with God.152 (796) The unity of Christ and the Church, head and members of one Body, also implies the distinction of the two within a personal relationship. (1039) In the presence of Christ, who is Truth itself, the truth of each man's relationship with God will be laid bare.624 (See CCC for full text and foot notes 151, 152,and 624)
    Wow! I had no idea that calling to a personal relationship with God is the teaching of the Catholic Church. But here it is. Written down in black and white. So I accept, I believe, and I submit myself to the teaching of the Catholic Church.
    Now, knowing that a personal relationship with Jesus is important, I asked myself, “What is my personal relationship with Jesus? Is it a hi-and-bye relationship, or is it a close one? ” I know my personal relationship with Jesus is better than just hi-and-bye, but I can’t quantify it. I wondered if spending one hour weekly with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration, or celebrating His life, death, and resurrection in the Holy Mass indicative of a close relationship. I don’t know what I ought to do to foster a personal relationship with Jesus, but I do know what Jesus wants me to do to have the closest, the most intimate personal relationship with Him. He wants me to eat His flesh and drink His blood so that I can remain in Him and He in me. He said: Jn 6: 56, “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.” Can any relationship be more personal, more intimate, or closer than to be in each other?
    So to the friends who told me about a personal relationship with Jesus, I thank you. I apologize for considering your good words as a way to keep people away from church, and as an attempt to be politically correct. I now believe that a personal relationship with Jesus is all that is important, but, my friends, if you want to have a close personal relationship with Jesus, close enough to remain in Him and He in you; it does matter what church you belong to.

    God is love, and if you know God as love then you don’t know God. People who don’t know God as love need to get involved in a church, and tell pastor you want to give your life to God, and you want The Baptism Of God’s Holy Spirit. Once you have The Baptism Of God’s Holy Spirit...God will give you His love. God will give you His joy. God will give you His peace, and God will heal you if you need healing, and God will teach you all things. You will be the head, and not the tail. Get to a Pentecostal Church, Catholic Church, God In Christ Church, and talk to a pastor or a person at church who can help you. Google a church in your area and run get your blessing. God is waiting for you. Be blessed In Jesus Name.

    What doesn't God sound loud and clearly audible like the human voice or even better? Why is there all this searching for someone who's existence is supposedly obvious?

    • @SaruStuff124
      @SaruStuff124 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +SooglePlus Gucks (I'm sorry, but this can't be a short response. So, I'm apologizing in advance. Proceed if you wish.)
      -
      Maybe because it's not obvious. Well, in a lot of cases, it isn't, but it depends on how you define "obvious." What I mean is that God reveals Himself to those pure in their desire to seek Him out, or just when we are most likely to listen. People are so ready to judge God before they really think about what He's done. We hear about the story of salvation, the good news of Christ, so often that it means so much less than what it is, and it's usually watered down as to not make anyone feel bad. The fact is a lot of the Bible is plain obvious, we just don't want to believe it because of our own understanding, and because the Bible is such an intimidating read, a lot of us will just settle for our own perspectives on the matter, or worse, read it and then distort it.
      -
      To answer your original question though, "why is there all this searching?" One aspect involves the law we can't follow without sinning, which is why grace had to come into play. But you see, while the law could not be the basis of our relationship with God, it is used as a teacher. God's law is so far beyond our understanding, but He DOES want us to learn. Looking back, I realize all His designs about life have been about teaching us, taking us through every step, good AND bad. He wants to show us all of it because there's nothing He hasn't conquered, and He'd like us to know why and how. AS for the why and how, I doubt I could fit that into a TH-cam comment, OR do it justice, so this is where I'm stopping, haha... But, yeah. Again, my apologies for the length of all this.

    • @user-uc2tf9je7j
      @user-uc2tf9je7j 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Everything you're saying is based on a book written by man. There is no proof that is other wise.

    • @SaruStuff124
      @SaruStuff124 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      SooglePlus Gucks Mm, that's not entirely accurate. If God does exist, then He would've been directly working through man to write this book of His. But since very few actually take the time to make God the Lord of their lives, it's sometimes hard to believe people's faith, IF you ask me.
      Certainly there are some very devoted people in the world, and it stands to reason that this devotion could be used to work entirely on God's view to create said book. But honestly, without the faith in God's goodness, it'll never be proven where it counts; inside the individual man's heart.
      God provides an exclusive doctrine in and of itself, so if God did successfully transfer His love into the hearts of these people, it's possible for a man to follow said love to write the book in question.
      It's true, man wrote the good book. But to say it's definitely NOT God's love infused into those pages is where I choose to remain dubious. But it's like I said, it's hard to believe in another man's faith because we all want to believe we're in the right with what we're doing. I say there is proof, but again, without faith, it's difficult to prove. Facts are presented in the proof, but it's generally only really proven if you can justify all that's in the Bible as a doctrine, and that's an entire understanding.

    • @user-uc2tf9je7j
      @user-uc2tf9je7j 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's 100% accurate. You have no proof to back up any claim you make in that regard. Everything you are saying, I used to say myself. I lived over 20 years as a christian. Once I realized everything I ever believed/said concerning Christianity was based on either A. - what was in bible B. -what someone said that claimed it was based on the bible or "holy spirit" or C - I told myself in my head, while pretending to be God. The game changer for me was realizing how many people of other religions genuinely believe they are of the one and only true religion. What would cause someone to be so convinced? Where you're born perhaps? And how can everyone be right? Why would God let people be confused ALL of their lives believing in another god or gods (polytheistic religions)? On top of that, according some, people supposedly are punished infinitely for finite crimes. How's that fair or logical? Do you know there's wide spread disagreement on whether the "hell" that we know is even in the bible or to any extent for that matter. I've probably gone too deep at this point. But I'd encourage you, to at the very least, research the background/origins/development of Christianity from OBJECTIVE resources and branch out to studying the same of other religions. Lastly, I'll say that I concluded my journey of faith by whole-heartly asking God does he exist. Have you ever done this? It's a scary thing that shifts the paradigm of life.

    • @SaruStuff124
      @SaruStuff124 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      SooglePlus Gucks It's a VERY scary thing to ask that. I have asked that, I asked that a week ago, yesterday, a year ago, 4 years ago. And you know, I could just be in love with a concept, but it's an exclusive concept that I haven't seen in anything else. That's what exclusive means, haha. I don't really plan on justifying anything to you, I'm just giving an outline. I mean, I don't know what you believe, but I believe in an absolute truth whether I cease to believe in God or not, whether I find the answer or not. Meaning there's always an answer (just not in the sense "man, you got an answer for everything, don't you?")
      I admit, I'm not the best person to argue this stuff, fair enough. But obviously not everyone can be right, right? So, I don't know. Have you ever asked yourself if you were being seduced away from God's truth? Satan's not the prince of darkness for nothing, he understands the Bible in ways we never could. Honestly, no one (no one I know personally anyway) ever fortifies their relationship with God, makes Him the Lord of their lives. They never act like their serving the King of kings, therefore they never seek to strengthen themselves through Him, seek the understanding that transcends all understanding.
      I'm not bitter about it, it's just a fact. I guess a large part of the "proof" you're asking about is in viewing the entire Bible wholly, connecting all the dots as it were. Instead of making crazy assumptions, or relying on "man" for guidance, we should be trying to prove God right. Not that He needs US to do it, but I see so many people using unchristian examples to describe Christians and I'm thinking "... who cares about them?" It's like, "dude, I get that there's so many routes to lead someone off of God's path, but how about some tools to keep a guy ON the path without all that deterrence?" If there wasn't a very real threat, i.e. Satan, to lead us astray.. need I say more?
      I don't know, we're probably not getting anywhere with each other, so maybe we should just cut it here... and I just realized it's SUPER late, wow. But I hope you get the answers you may or may not be looking for. Take care.

I have gotten nothing but a sense of a strange cosmic humor. I know this makes no sense. What does it all mean. Christianity? Why can't God forgive without the blood sacrifice of an innocent man!? Why oh why? All because 2 people sinned from a tree that nobody else had anything to do with! This just makes no sense. Why didn't Jesus simply just stay here so all would be on the same page? Evidence not faith. There are too many unanswered questions. Take care from Agnostic Lee.
