I was going through a 25 year marriage I tried to hold together. I couldn’t and felt full of fear and failure. After there were no more tears, I rested on my Bible when God spoke to me. I've been praying and praying every night before I go to bed. I get no response. But I do feel as if he receives my message and someone is actually listening to me. My life is fantastic, I thank him that he has given me this beautiful life I have. I believe he does respond by giving you things and send you messages through other people. It could even be things written on a wall or something. But one day, I want to hear him talk to me. God himself. I hope and pray for that day to come. And I feel like it will one day.

Nothing fails like prayer!. To everyone who believes prayer works try this experiment. For a month start praying to your toaster (yes your toaster) and record the results, there's only 3 outcomes 1. You got the result you wanted 2. You didn't, but you got something else. 3. You're still waiting for the result you wanted. After a month go back to praying to God for a month and record the results, after a month compare the results. What you'll find is that it seems like God answers prayer at exactly the same rate as your toaster does, which coincidentally is at exactly the same rate as pure chance.
i'm just an atheist here, you guys are so brave to find yourselves with christianity instead finding yourselves lacking in christian faith. but i feel like asking how in the heck do you guys as christians, do you not like the devil's music like classical music, rap and or machinery around the world, crude matter to which you test yourselves as obstacles to stay with chrisitan faith. i mean satan has both hell and earth as his two headquarters, right?
Good father's don't disappear for 6000 yrs, explain that it's a prophecy, "through modernized doctrine only" explain that he has a divine plan for you, only to give you a method of complaining about his divine plan called prayer and then (through no fault of your own) ignore your complaints or arrogant wishing and then explain more "non personal" methods of "why?" like ...faith.
