My favorite is 5 populist druid plus the druid trio. Can take down any of the new freeplay rounds and can be even affordable in chimps mode. At least superstorm plus avatar. Fourth tier is kinda bad but looks cool so i get it anyways. Well its not that bad does help so nothing gets overwelmed cause it hits everything on the track. But only does ten damage a tick. So good against infinate hoards of bloons but not so much just a couple super tough bloons.
Rubber to gold + (just a bit further back) druid of the storm (especially when buffed such as by Obyn, poplust) The druid will be *constantly* sending bloons back to the rubber to gold alch, allowing him to get a bunch of bloons that otherwise snuck by, and just ramp up your rubber to gold's overall efficiency and effectiveness as such.

For the early game in BTD5 I always loved the Ninja Monkey and Boomerang combo. Ninja for single target damage and Boomerang for high pierce cleanup. Usually go for top path Ninja and Boomerang.
The boomerang monkey is such a cheap yet efficient tower, ricochets always carry me through the early game ^^, but don't you need x-0-2 to pop the frozen baloons?
A couple of these are weaker than 0-2-4 sniper, which can carry to around 40 if you provide some form of lead popping power. (Such as hero, fire tacks, village with 0-3-0 (expensive but op), etc)
My go to for sheer reliability is Tack Zone + Rlng of Fire. Slap down a top-path village with camo detection and they can solo deep into the 90s and do a TON of work past that. They only tend to struggle against DDTs, since most of the damage output is from Tack Zone and the village can't help that without going center path. Pairs even better still with a Shattering Shells mortar Edit: probably showing how new I am to the game here, since it also only works at all on single lane maps
A note: The 3rd combo sub and ninja would be considerably less powerful in CHIMPS due to airburst darts not gaining the bonus 3 darts. Still solid tho just a note
on easy maps i love to play just a bunch of really good primary towers impale + tackzone slows things in the range of the tackzone impale + bloonsolver impale kills moabs and solver kills bloons so just impale zone solver and it wins
My favorite as of now is 4-0-1 ninja plus 4-2-0 alchemist. Cheap easy to spam can deal with zomg and is overall really freaking good for almost every gamemode
Striker + Mortars n' Maulers. Big One and/or Artillery Battery annihilate bloons, and Maulers make quick work of MOABs. Add striker's buff on top of that, and they're unstoppable even in small numbers.
Prince of darkness and the tack zone is incredibly strong. Prince never let's things through while the tack zone destroys anything else. Add villages and alch buffs then its just crazy
It may sound absurd to the readers , but the combination of total transformation and plasma monkey fan club(5 dart monkeys excluding the 5th tier dart monkey) almost defeated the true sun god given sacrifices worth 50k of each category of monkeys , I can confirm this since I tested it in sandbox mode in btd6.
There's a few fun combo's, like supermalestrom plus energizer or a primary expertise for decreased cooldown, striker jones plus pop and awe to keep bloons stunned for quite some time, perhaps carpet of spikes plus Spirit of the forest to play a game of the floor is lava with the bloons, but most of them end up being pretty terrible overall. You can then go the other end of the spectrum, and go for all the 2TC combo's, like WLP and apache prime, which aren't necessarily fun but are strong enough to take down literally every round in the game outside of ABR. But a combo I think is both good and fun is AOW plus perma spike. AOW wrath is really good when there's high RBR, doing stupid amounts of damage and taking down really big rounds like 96, 97, and 98 with relative ease, only falling off when most bloons are popped. Which is where the perma spike comes in, because it's really good for cleaning up the remaining bloons on the screen. It can get overwhelmed by big bloon levels, but AOW is already covering those. Good combo, and pretty fun in my opinion because of how the tower's compliment each other's strengths.
Why do bloons streamers/content creators NEVER upgrade any other path after they get a T5? Like? You didn’t get grape shot or upgrade on aircraft carrier. You went 5-0-0 for what reason? Just never understand it tbh.
My number one combo: Obyn/Ezili/Adora+ crossbow master+ elite defender. The hero is just there for the first lead rounds. Those two towers can actually get you to round 90. If you have a Glaive Lord, you can make it to round 95.
Chimps strat (needs water) 2-0-1 ninja, Gwen, 2-2-0 bucaneer, save for a village, place it so it affects the bucaneer, ninja and Gwen, even if with the 1xx upgrade, save for a supermonkey and place it under the village's effect, get x-2-0 village, upgrade supermonkey to 2-2-0, get a tack shooter, get an alch and 2 engies (2-2-0 the 3), get robo-monkey, get the mecha-terror, get a tack shooter under the village's effect, upgrade village to 2-3-0, save for anti-bloon or 2-0-4 tack zone, remember that anti-bloon is optional, but if no anti-bloon then get 2 2-4-0 engies and a 2-4/5-0 alch, immediately, and poggers, you won. (works best in cubism :/)

Hey Chris, I think it would be cool if you did a challenge to try to make a setup that beats round 79, but fails on round 80, because I feel like round 80 is way easier, even though it's supposed to be a tough round, and do the same thing for 39 and 40, 59 and 60, 89 and 90, 99 and 100. It would be extra cool if you did it sort of like extreme mode, where you can only use a tower type on one fail attempt.
MAD + Bloonsolver could actually beat 2tc except solver doesn't se camo, and both are bad starting towers. In late game though, they act like the get rid of Bloons button
if you are a new play i would recommend starting games with ninja and top path alchemists and then going in to obyn 5 pop lusts and an avatar of wraith

One of my favourite combos is a couple of destroyers, gwen and alch. With a camo village they can beat round 100 on deflation.

sauda + middle path wizard is easily the best it took me past round 100 and ppl use it for 2tc’s w/ chimps
One I tend to use is middle ice plus + any tack. The slow just keeps how long it can hit & it's quite useful. 💜💜💜

All the wizards get secret crosspath upgrades . Pod gets arcane spike. Arch mage gets fire breath with shimmer. Wizard lord gets free camo detection
