Good that there is now a drop in replacement display for these expensive meteres. With a brand like HP/Agilent/Keysight you'd expect the meter to have a longer life than 10 years (certainly for the price it once cost) and that they would support replacement parts for much longer.. But luckily the aftermarket came to the rescue. Is this display also expected to fail within 10 years or has OLED techology advanced enough that this way of failure is pretty much solved?
I have changed this OLED display twice now. It can keep only for 6 to 10 years. My fault, I decided for this stupid OLED display. :-( The first time, I've got a replacement directly from Agilent. But only under the circumstance, that I have had to send my defective display first. The second time, I've got a replacement from E..y, for 60 EUR. I'm happy with this precise instrument, still it's my best. I'm considering the U1282A now.

That's a good question. I think that the economy in general strives to develop products that have a short lifespan.😂
