    • @middlemadeit
      @middlemadeit หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think her point was that a lot of their discography makes them out to seem like activists or very socially conscious, so it almost seems they've elected to be seen as such leaders -- especially someone like Cole that has that lecturing thing about him, but then when it gets real they're no where to be seen. However I do recognize it's been documented that he was out on the streets protesting and stuff, so I'm not necessarily saying that was in fact the case, just what Noname was getting at.

But in the other disses Cole got a response and that’s when he backtracked/apologized. That’s ‘coward activity’ IMO. If you’re going to diss someone then say it with your chest, don’t fold when you get a reply.

    I only had a few notes just because noname's beef with J Cole is one that I was sort of paying attention to at the time and it did seem like she was attacking him because he was outside but it seemed at the time that she was looking for something more substantive than just photo ops but again this is something from a few years ago during covid so my memory could be a little hazy on that.

    I lost all respect for Cole after he kept trying to put born sinner out the same day as yeezus to try to outsell Kanye. I think he saw Kanye prioritizing artistry over lyrical prowess as a weakness and had been trying to target him for clout for some time. Yeezus really had minimal marketing and promotion compared to born sinner as well so it just seemed corny and desperate of him to try so hard to take advantage of that and still fail even after going to the store with drake and buying armfuls of his own album off the shelf himself while Kanye was actively trying to prevent his own album from ever even being physically released like that. Then coming out with false prophets years later was even more lame.

Now he has to respond to Symba, and other rappers are going to feel like the apology gives them the will to diss Cole now. Unless he sticks up for him self on tracks.... or all this could be a planned situation seeing that his upcoming album is labeled l, The fall off. False Prophets and High for Hours is some of the finest examples of lyricism. I haven’t seen Kendrick do anything that comes close. On the other hand Kendrick is just ferocious, delivery is straight nuts, daunting to battle him, especially if you’re a rapper like Cole who has more of a placid smooth style, you’d have to change your whole style. That being said, both diss tracks are hot garbage. They both can NOT battle rap. The UK would eat them alive.

    This isnt hip hop. Theres the street stuff that aint real hip hop too.
    Rap isnt about personal feelings its music if you let it get to you and take it personal then you takimg it far. This was in the vein of big 3 goat convo not kendrick vs j.cole personally to release disrespectful somgs or do street scrapping.
    And when people talk goat stuff what are they refering to and when they get challenged what are they responding to.
    This was misguided and misdirected from friendly competition since kendrick never really went personal but j.cole.
    This was competitive in nature.
    Idk anymore about rap i dont see or hear jcoles raps the same this is all fake bullsh.t he even went to feature future and metro
    No integrity in rap. And what they rap about is stuff that isnt helping anyone eitherway just distractions.

    From what we seen online was even after 7 minute drill Kendrick fans started to doubt TPBF album wasn't a classic and Cole couldn't do his guy like that... So he didn't want to be responsible for tarnishing Kdot's legecy ... He cleared it up if it was a bum rapper. He would have let them feel the pain longer, but took the high route and apologies. Go see the tweets and concerns we sent Jcole prior to the concert... In my opinion he did right.

    I think I understand JCole man I never like him when his cocky and all. He is much better when he telling a story and being relatable.
    Also as someone living in a toxic environment I can tell you now its better to opt for peace. People may call you a bitch and all but that energy is not worth it.
    It begins to hit the older you grew you realize why did I do that and 100 times you never like the answer.
    Yes J cole can smoke a rapper but what is the most powerful thing a man with power can do? Chose not to use it.
    We are human we will always throw a threat but what makes us different from animals we can start a dialogue and do things better.
