Chris Brandon I always thought PE was Hip Hop with Industrial bones. Skinny Puppy is Industrial with Hip Hop bones. This is a marriage made in the Apocalypse!
That is IMHO the most unintelligible and false statement I have ever heard......To call Public Enemy industrial, as if they are descendants of Throbbing Gristle, is insanity. Shows how little Gen Z and Millennials understand about 80's music.......I was there, you children are clueless.
HI my name is Cat...my husband is Matthew. I'm using his channel. I Cannon get enuf of this song it's awesome.. it's rough and tumble and it rocks hard...I love it! I'm 51 yrs old and I still listen to the hard Rock and punk music which includes NIN. .skinny puppy and some German music..I would recommend listening to some German music..it's awesome! Hope u get back to me
Nice work! Recently I was thinking about how cool it would've been if SP & PE had toured together back in 89/90 when both were making some of their best work and both bands built songs out of hard beats and layers upon layers of samples with the vocalist on top.
"Would have"? Hmmm. Well, it at least seems to be picking up steam recently for some reason. I assume it's been shared on a website, or a blog, or something.
Rap and industrial? They came together a long time ago. Consolidated and The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy are two notable (and probably my favorite) examples from the 90s.
Yeah like others have said, GREAT job fusing the two, this was definitely one of my favorite SP tracks (one of those cases where I feel a remix surpasses the original), and as a fan of PE as well, seeing their energy combined was incredible. It'd be awesome to see someone do a mashup of Assimilate, and-- though not purely industrial-- possibility some God Lives Underwater tracks, like From Your Mouth (maybe it's just me, but I always thought that instrumental/beat around the 3:40 mark of No More Love could work really well with a rap over it...).
Well, of course it is great music....Alternative Clubs were playing Sir Mix Alot before he got popular in most of the "Tourist Clubs"....as well as Tone Loc....
I couldn't believe it when Rodent turned up on Little Big Planet, and now this...I tells ya, there are very few things that Skinny Puppy doesn't make better.
HI there again..so how did u get involved with Skinny Puppy? I learned of Skinny Puppy when I was in my early 20's... I used to havea a black leather Jacket and a Mohawk. .life was a blast and I listened to Skinny puppy and NIN etc...was living in Toronto in my early 20's living off of Queen Street. .
INCREDIBLE this two styles Bands.. FAMOUS.
amazing mashup ! i miss skinny puppy
Thanks!
This is incredible. PE's production team, the Bomb Squad, was basically making industrial music, so it's not much of a surprise that this works.
Thanks, glad you dig it.

When I need a push over the edge .. this kicks me squarely in the brain. Love this mix!!!
Now do Throbbing Gristle vs Fresh Prince.

@@ionnokx2236 That's a good thing. It would be a blast to hear it played on the radio.
Nice! 2 great songs/artists from the late 80s/early 90s together. Fantastic idea and execution! Truly awesome.
This just popped up in my TH-cam again. I STILL need a copy!
I'm pretty fucking upset that it took the algorithm 4 years to put this on my radar.
Never has there been a greater failure of technology.
This is so good \m/
