    Team GB has been gaining major momentum the last few years. Amy, The Downie Girls, Claudia, Charlotte all great young women with awesome potential

      trinibwoy27 Also Alice Kinsella, Maisie Methurn, Catherine Lyons, Taeja James (Very dynamic) and tiny Georgia Mae Fenton. They have a strong enough team for a strong B Team too. Rebecca Tunney, Gabby Jupp, Teal Grindal and Tyesha Mattias (bars and beam) are all possible too. Plus they want to get US Scholorships and a debt free degree, like Ruby Harrold.

    Amy is cute, but I don't see British gymnastics becoming a powerhouse any time soon (unless the Americans have a catastrophic change over in head coaches). The Americans, Chinese and Russians have been at the top for a long time, and have their programs built (but it seems that some are in the process of rebuilding) with a lot of support. Team GB may rise up in the ranks due to opportunities made through these changes, but like I said they have a long way to go to be considered a powerhouse. I am sad to see Romania struggling, since they have been at the top for such a long time (10 Olympic team medals in a row, with Nadia as an icon) but I believe they can make a comeback. But best of luck to GB.

      Leeann Mussatt They're almost a powerhouse at this point. China and Russia have faded quite and bit and the implosion of Romania left a vacuum that Great Britain is filling.
      But I think the changes in the COD are very good for China and it may regain the level of dominance that's expected of it.
      The Netherlands is also gaining traction and may become a powerhouse as well.
      So, I think it's the U.S.>>>Russia>China>GB=Netherlands
      Brazil is also looking to become a powerhouse.

      Powerhouse is too strong a word for GB, Netherlands and Brazil at the moment, happy they are progressing though, other countries have made their presence on and off like Italy, Germany and Australia

      Lockon Stratos Australia needs a lot of work we are bad compared to the u.s & China, etc. I think the standard or competitiveness is just not the same as the top countries

      Bret Williams You're being a bit harsh and unreasonable. Yes she did deserve the bronze she did the best routine she could possibly do for herself whereas everyone else didn't quite perform their best. She's had a leg injury for most of this year she's only just getting back to performing her full difficulty. Lots more to come from her leading up to Tokyo.

    • @liukin95
      @liukin95 7 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Why do you think they're bad? I've seen worse gyms in America!

    • @mjamitche5245
      @mjamitche5245 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      What do you mean corporate money? Corporations don't fund American gyms, the gymnast's parents do. Tuition is high and gymnastics is an expensive sport in America. American sports of any kind don't get government funds. The most that happens with corporations is when an individual gymnast goes on foot to a local sporting store and asks for sponsorship to help pay for a meet in exchange for their logo on the flyer or to donate trinkets as prizes for participants. That's it. They don't pay for 1 mat or a box of chalk.
