I mainly collect microtech and spyderco. My favorite microtechs I own are scarab 1/2,LUDT, ultratech and stitch
Hey Slicey, I had a standard Troodon Hellhound in carbon fiber and I ended up trading it for a brand new Signature Series Ultratech Hellhound in full DLC and am SO glad I did the trade. Love the extra blade length on the Ultratech and the “all black everything” look of it. It’s so damn sinister!!
I got a patch when I got my UTX85 back from warranty.
I love my Ultratech but I keep finding myself looking at the Dirac Deltas!!

Awesome video. My Socom elite is def my favorite Microtech. I am fortunate enough to have the ultratech bounty hunter and I love that one too. Which do you prefer the ultratech or the Recon 035? Keep up the great content 🤘🏻
Microtech offers some knives at a discount to first responders, military, veterans, etc. The knife offering list changes from time to time and Microtech does not yet use 3rd party verification (Spyderco and Benchmade do). They also don't have a store like others do.
I just got in my first Ultratech yesterday!! I got the Tanto in apocalyptic finish!! So freaking awesome!! The unboxing is live on my channel, The Knife Nut !!
I have 1 Microtech, a plain Jane black / apocalyptic finish LUDT in Elmax... it is my only auto. It might be my favorite "performance" folding knife... so incredibly thinly ground, mine measured out at 0.0114" BTE. Lightweight, strong, cool and very performance oriented.
I'd go as far as to say, I'd rather have an LUDT than almost any Chris Reeve, Hinderer, Strider or any standard ultra high end frame lock.
Fun fact : the LUDT.. or UDT used to come in 2 or 3 sizes. The LUDT being the biggest... and in my opinion it is literally the perfect EDC size
My only complaint is that I wish I had more handle size, and more grip area, I don't know if I have "big" hands, but I definitely have wide, thick hands... kind of the opposite of Slices Dicey and his modely long piano fingers lol. Ring size 15.

Socom is #1 for me. Fantastic fit and finish for the price.
Can a Troodon be considered a combat knife when there is no finger guard ?
I dropped my Socom Elite today. It has a bobo and I’m a little sad.
Sigh. I can't own autos here in Australia yet I can buy a semi auto pistol or revolver! Infact going to pick out a .357 mag tomorrow.

That Socom disassembly video was Nero Knives. Mine did the same thing, with no hardware in the knife, it had the controlled drop shut yet no blade play. Really wild.
The UTX 70 without the pocket clip makes a great 5th pocket knife.
Been looking for a Stitch for awhile But kept Missing out...So I had a chance to grab a recon 40 today from PVK so had to jump on it! Nice top 5 brother! 👍👊
This video came out at the perfect time, as Ohio just loosened the laws on autos! I just got a ProTech Newport and plan on ordering a Microtech soon. The LUDT is the one I'm most likely to get unless the chance to buy a SOCOM Elite falls into my lap.
The Stitch is fantastic...some day... SOCOM is probably my next Microtech.

@@SliceyDicey Ah I missed that. Janky laptop speakers + lots of background noise are not an ideal combo shockingly enough.
Your audio is really quiet. Turned it up so I could hear then a commercial popped up loud af and fell off my chair.

I don’t understand the connection with Southern Edge Knifeworks. They charge MUCH higher on every single knife I have looked at compared to their competition. They want $56 more on the Spyderco Kapara than most other retailers, for example. That is beyond ridiculous. I absolutely won’t buy from them with those kinds of prices and I do not recommend anyone buy from them.
