Chin up Giorgio, even a bad result is better than nothing! You could be in the position I'm in, where any sustained power results in crippling back pain. Getting to the far side of it but gutted to be missing the CX season this year 😭
Well done Giorgio. With limited training time now, you're not always going to be firing on all cylinders every time. As for mud, it plays to my advantage in the mtb southern series, I still don't podium though 😂 ( apart from Pippingford 😊)
First time I’ve seen you in bad form after a race Georgie Boy. Amazing really as we cyclists love a good moan about everything lol. You’re so positive so you deserve to have one little moan now and then. Important thing now is to put it in your rear view mirror and move on. Well done keeping everything together at this stage of daddyhood.
Haha it’s not been easy to stay positive this year especially as I keep comparing myself to last year, which is massively different. Need to find some new targets and find my mojo again 😅
Mate - you lucky sod. After my crash in Portsmouth, I can’t race again. And I can’t even ride a bike. Two months now. Keep at it Giorgio. You’ll get there.
@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling sometime next year I’m told. Anyway, looking forward to you getting your mojo back over the season. First year after a new arrival is always the hardest in my experience.
That was definitely not your type of course Giorgio. Too dry. Dont let a bad race bring ya down bud. Im confident that youll bounce back stronger. Thats what us racers do. Take our lumps and hopefully learn something from it and come back with a vengeance. You know vengeance is a great motivator. I got passed in a 24 mile race last year at the 22 mile mark and got beat out of first by 58 seconds. Six months later i used that and beat that guy by 32 minutes! Vengeance is a powerful motivator. Use it!! 😂
Not a good course for me at the moment but I’m sure I can find some motivation from it! Ahh that’s absolutely mega and some margin to win by six months later 💪
Giorgi boy got my first ever CX race tomorrow in the Western League, mainly because of watching your content. I’m 39, weigh 72kg and my FTP is 276 on a good day. Bang average technical ability. I’m gonna give it the beans give it the berries in your honour, what sort of a finish should i be aiming for do you think?
Mega I hope the race goes well! Really hard to say as it will depend on the conditions, if it’s super muddy handling can play such a big part and keeping your bike turning in the mud can be very difficult. I imagine top half based off those numbers if you can handle the conditions and if it’s dry you should have no problems 👌
@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling Thanks! Came 15th out of 20. Physically hardest thing I’ve ever done. Chain came off on first lap, but it wouldn’t have made a difference, the lad who won lapped me twice! I’ve signed up for another one so i must have had fun. Thanks for the content, love your vids
“Now twelfth” 👏🏻 😂 Love it.
👀😂

Ahh man gutted for you I hope you can sort out the back pain 🤞
Every ride is a learning experience, remember winners don’t quit and quitters don’t win. Well done 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
🙌🫡
In front or at the rear, it’s always fun to watch👍
Great video George, just keep pushing and more importantly enjoy it!
Can't wait for Ava to start giving you advice.....nice filming

Very true I never know now if my legs will turn up or not until I start racing 😂 haha I could only dream of a podium right now 😅
Hey man, win, lose, or draw - I always enjoy your vlogs. I feel you on the pedaling squares and blowing up. It's my standard for racing CX.
🙌
Wow, you have a little one now, congratulations.
Great video as always the muddy conditions will be back soon and your be back up there again
Loved the video , hope you have a better week next week xx
mate keep going, it's not all bad - at least the pre-race pancakes are back :)
That’s true although they didn’t help my speed on the bike 😂
