Hello. I don’t use any rooting powder. Just place the cuttings in an water cup and then in a container with soil that has a good watering flow that is moist not wet. In a place with light but not direct light. And it will work fine.

I bought a bouquet of flowers and kept it in water, the carnation flowers are growing very small roots. Should I keep them in the water or in soil?
Keep them until the roots get a big bigger and softer that you can post them on soil.

How long do these take to flower once they start to root?
Depends, on the season you root them. they flower end of Doreen beginning of Summer so need hot weather. it may take up to a year.
