Jamila Depina I can't even listen to issues because all I can hear is tyler in woe. He was on another level in woe is me, he's changed too much for my liking :( this is nostalgia for me
So many memories....all these years, man. I don't even like post-hardcore or metalcore much anymore, but the OLD Woe Is Me will remain on my iPod forever; Issues is not bad either. Tyler Carter has become sort of a pivotal vocal figure for me; his music, and the music that his band mates write, has stuck with me over the last 8 years and I'm extremely proud to come as far as I have with what I've been going through; a lot of this music- this song in particular- has helped me through it, as cliche as that sounds.
Lucas Jenkins i feel you bro. tylers vocals in Number[s] are completely unlike any other vocals iver ever heard style-wise. The entire Number[s] album helped me with the suicide of a friend and a lot of deaths i dealt with in high school. as bad as life felt those few years i would do anything to go back to those days when i was first listening to Number[s] when i was in utter disbelief of the beautiful music i was listening to. i went on to learn tim sherrills parts in the entire album by ear.
This verse has always stuck with me. *Stop handing me lights, I can see what you are in the dark just fine. And I'm not blind, i'm bending the blinds* 8 Years later and I'm still singing it in the shower each morning.
No one will ever sing like this guy. Absolutely amazing. He could sing words out of the dictionary and make it sound good. He could make it in any genre he wanted to with his talent. It's unbelievable.
Gosh I miss Tyler’s vocals 🥲 wish this version was on streaming services, I remember converting this to an mp3 file to listen to on my iPod nano in high school 😭
It's so amazing to see how far Tyler Carter has came as an artist himself. From giving Woe Is Me that unique sound, to making amazing solo music and of course Issues. I've seen Woe, Tyler on his solo tour, and Issues once so far and Tyler has been spot on at every single show. He's blown Jonny Craig out the ass with how much success he's gained
His voice does not sound like it would come from him just the way he looks, its a beautiful voice just when i first saw a live video I didn't expect this
Here are the lyrics if anyone wants them! Your true colors are starting to get loud Have fun praying to your gray god now All that you taught me to be Was a moper a dreamer that only refused to dream Oh save it please My voice is peaking through your speakers And I'm speaking just to show you the way How could you shelter me out I'm much older now You shatter like a beaker when I only wanna show you the way And I'll build my way out of your demise These dreams are my castles Not the walls you built up around me I look into my watch and I know Time is time is gold Your true colors are starting to get loud Have fun praying to your gray god now And when all your cards are on the table Pray the floor is as stable (ohhh) And when all your cards are on the table Pray the floor is still as stable and dance Your life away This war don't determine who's right This war just determines who's left standing tonight Stop handing me lights I can see what you are in the dark just fine I'm not blind, I'm bending the blinds Peaking through to get a glimpse of your anguishing life Your hiding like a vampire here comes the strife This wont hurt me cause I get a thrill Your true colors are starting to get loud Have fun praying to your gray god now

Here I am a 29 y/o in 2024. First heard this song when I was like 16 and it’s crazy to think how big of an idle Tyler was to me when I got into singing. Still love his voice
+Moses Freih lol there's an infinitely easier way to play those chords. the way he's playing those chords, I would play on an electric but not an acoustic.

@@TheKenshinEmo Idk why I have a hardtime to get into new rock music. I still have my playlist of all the old bangers but for some reason I'm just not in the same place to connect emotionally to the music anymore.
@@jawrool No doubt Craig Owens has a beautiful voice, but I definitely prefer Tyler Carter and Jonny Craig over him. Craig Owens is more of a High Tenor while JC and Tyler Carter are light mid-tenors. For high tenors I have to go with Anthony Green. Listen to 'Blood From a Stone,' 'Your Friends are Gone,' 'Suspending Disbelief,' and the entire Appendage EP to get the beauty and emotion of his voice.
Chris Dunn not really, issues is more bass heavy and uses turntables, as well as a rap flow to some songs. Woe, is me was more straight up metalcore. Just because both singers are in the bands doesn't mean it's the same. Just my opinion tho, so I don't know
Jesse Bartlett no doubt it's a different style to an extent, it still very much makes sense that it would lead you to Issues. If you start searching Woe Is Me, it's pretty much certain you'll stumble upon Issues is more what i was saying.
It's weird that they recorded the song and then made an acoustic version, then didn't record the acoustic until after Tyler left. I mean, ya had it ready by then.
I remember listening to this when I was 14 I’m now 24 good memories
Life was so much better around this time

The vibe to this song has been helping me with my anxiety
2024 & still here, 33 years old at this point.
There's no one I love more than Tyler. He is so talented.

Still one of my favorite acoustic songs let's go Tyler!!!

Tyler is seriously one of the best singers on this earth.
His voice is music to my ears, the guitar is played splendid, and the double eye candy brings me here at least once a week 😍 Gotta love them

Your true colors are starting to get loud
Have fun praying to your gray god now
All that you taught me to be
Was a moper a dreamer that only refused to dream
Oh save it please
My voice is peaking through your speakers
And I'm speaking just to show you the way
How could you shelter me out I'm much older now
You shatter like a beaker when I only wanna show you the way
And I'll build my way out of your demise
These dreams are my castles
Not the walls you built up around me
I look into my watch and I know
Time is time is gold
Your true colors are starting to get loud
Have fun praying to your gray god now
And when all your cards are on the table
Pray the floor is as stable (ohhh)
And when all your cards are on the table
Pray the floor is still as stable and dance
Your life away
This war don't determine who's right
This war just determines who's left standing tonight
Stop handing me lights
I can see what you are in the dark just fine
I'm not blind, I'm bending the blinds
Peaking through to get a glimpse of your anguishing life
Your hiding like a vampire here comes the strife
This wont hurt me cause I get a thrill
Your true colors are starting to get loud
Have fun praying to your gray god now
