▶The German navy is referred to as the 'Kriegsmarine' which is incorrect for this time period
▶Khmelnytskyi has a period incorrect name, should be Proskurov
▶Kerensky is incorrectly portrayed as the Russian leader following the Tsar (should be Prince Lvov until July 8th 1917)

Didn't see anything more beautiful than this mapping-format before. Absolutely gorgeous
I'm glad you like it Bernard!
@@fullworldmap The russian civil war with those animations would be insane.
same
@@dmitriblyat8237 so true!
@@fullworldmap I started to create mapping videos recently and I'm really wonder, if I dare to ask you at least what kind of soft are you using to make your videos ?
With content as good as this, it's clear that you have a natural talent for creating engaging material. Why not take your skills to the next level and produce more unique front/wars content that is sure to attract an even larger audience? The possibilities are endless, and with your talent and dedication, success is within reach.
Thanks for the kindness Levi, I have plans for less well-known fronts, alt history, and even things on other words! Obscure fronts get less attention from my experience, but a lot of that kind of content will definitely be coming in the future
@@fullworldmap All the best on your channel! One day the fame you deserver will come
@@fullworldmapalt history sounds amazing!
Yeah, @fullworldmap , I personally would enjoy more lesser-known fronts, or some alt-history!
No pressure, but I love this kind of content! :)
@@fullworldmapthis is actually amazing you put so much effort into this, very unique from the others i must say
Masterpiece! No documentary can boast such high-quality map animation. It would be very interesting to see a continuation - the russian civil war (1918-1922) made by you. Good luck with your creativity, keep it up!
One of the best mapping videos I have ever seen. The text describing the events is very good and adds immense value for me.
I'm glad you liked it mark!
This is one of the best and most original forms of mapping videos I have seen in ages. I see alot of potential for growth here and I hope for you to reach an even bigger audience.
Never seen such a beautiful and engaging material for a mapping video. Absolutley awesome, keep it up!
Thanks 7!
This video seemed very professional given that you have only 660 subscribers. Underrated!
Thanks! I aim for high production quality, and hopefully it gets better with every new video
Woooow bro its amazing. Finaly a good map for the eastern WW1 front. Now i understood this forgotten front. Thank you men, thank you for this hard work. To be more fronts WW1 in future?
Absolutely beautiful. Are the weather patterns based on the weather reports for those times? Awesome music and aesthetic.
I'm glad the weather appears good enough for you to think such a thing, but no, the weather is not based on actual historical data at the moment. That being said, I've got great improvements to cloud formation coming, and other weather effects such as dynamic snow cover, desert winds, etc.
I’ve never even heard of this channel, but this video has sold me! I just subscribed! Keep up the good work!
So good man. Great stuff! 🙌🏻
This has to be the best mapping video ever!
Wait I just saw how many subscribers you have and I’m shocked. This is some S tier mapping, storytelling and the timescale really lets you reflect more than other, shorter videos.
How old are you 5?
Well made, its shockingly weird only 5k views. I hope the channel becomes more popular in the coming months for more great history mappings! :)
You and me both RPT!
Now 197k :)👌

one of the best war map i ever seen keep going your doing a great work .
I'm almost moved by how beautiful this looks. This is by far my favourite mapping video ever and one of the most accurate ones, if not the most accurate portrayal of the Eastern Front during the Great War, as far as my limited historical knowledge goes. Rest assured that I won't miss any of your uploads from now on.
This video is honestly so close to perfection that I cannot help but give you the only few critiques I can come up with:
1) While what is shown in the video is great, the frame of the video itself is a bit of a weird choice, in my opinion. While it captures most of the action, it leaves out some important fronts, like the Romanian and Serbian Fronts (even though the latter may be not completely pertinent with the video's scope), and most importantly it leaves out Petrograd, where the most important events of both russian revolutions took place.
2) Highlighting both actual frontline movements and peaceful exchanges of land between Germany and Austria-Hungary or parts of the Russian Empire gaining autonomy with the same flaming effect can be off-putting at times, as the latter visually dwarfs even the largest and most important battles by comparison.
3) It is extremely cool to see how the topographic features of Eastern Europe interact with sunlight, but it is quite hard to see the effect in Germany due to the colour you used on the map. Besides that, I think it would be a great addition to overlay the political map you used in the video with a satellite one. This isn't really anything related to the video's accuracy and clarity, I just think it would look somewhat better aesthetically. I know from experience how hard it can be to find the correct satellite map to decently blend with the rest of the layers, but you've already gone so far beyond what I thought was possible in terms of graphics that I don't have any doubt you'll find a way to implement this too (even though it's not granted that this idea is any good).
That's all. I really had to write this down as I see literally nothing wrong with the video except these three things, and none of them is even really essential. I can't wait to see what you'll come up with as the next video (I really hope you'll be continuing the video and portraying the Russian Civil War. It's an absolute nightmare to keep track of everything that is going on in Siberia, but I think that the european part of Russia is well within your reach)!
Obligatory "english isn't my first language so I'm sorry for any mistakes" moment.
Thanks for the kind comments and feedback daniel!
I will try to go through your questions in order:
1. Why is the framing the way it is?
That's because I have not yet done the surrounding areas to the level of detail I would like. The scope of these videos will get much larger as time goes by.
2. Why are peaceful exchanges of land also highlighted?
This is because it would be a lot of trouble to implement something else. I don't view it as critically important, and sometimes it's ambiguous if a territorial exchange is violent or non-violent.
3. Why not overlay a satellite map?
I avoided doing this because modern satellite maps are not accurate when you're modelling something more than a few decades in the past. It's especially evident in places where the coastline or climate has changed a lot. That being said, in the video this Friday I did something very similar to what you suggested, so let me know what you think!
And don't worry about your English, it's basically perfect! I'm working on the Eastern Front of 1918 now so rest assured that it will be done, but the video this Friday will be about South Africa during the Second Boer War
I hope those were satisfactory answers to your questions!
I've watched a lot of these types of videos, this video is definitely the best, the animation is charming
This is a beautiful work of art
Amazing work, this is the best mapping video ever.
No, really. This great animation of battles (like paper is smoldering), the day and night, the accuracy up to hours, the remarks, all the details. You will definitely get billions of vews, it's just a matter of time.
Billions!? I certainly wouldn't complain

Its a wonderful beautiful animated Video, thank you!
You got my sub
Great work! You re absolutely taking mapping on YT to the next level.
Only thing that i ve found to be a bit unfitting was the abrupt ending.
Thanks gothia! The reason for the abrupt ending is that when the video was made I had not gotten very far in the Russian civil war. There will be a remake of this video going from 1914 to 1924 when the necessary work is done
@@fullworldmap Got it. Thanks for the answer.
Wow, this was really good. Nice job mate
Glad you enjoyed it, master Higgin!
absolutely fantastic work all around, keep it up and you'll get loads more support i know
Thanks very much! I hope so
Nice map and animations, though the commentary needs quite some work. For example, the use of the term “Kriegsmarine” (32:35) is anachronistic and incorrect. It was the Imperial Navy.
Thanks for letting me know! I will note that down in the errors section. Are there any further problems?
only 903 subscribers???????? holy that is so underrated
this has huge potential
This in a Paradox game like Victoria would be awesome!
pd: the best mapping video I have seen, great work!
Will you make a video on the Balkan Front, including the war in Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria and the collaple of Austria-Hungary? Because i would realy like to see that, as well as Russian civil war (eventualy)
Talk about pixel perfection
Unbelievably underrated
Thanks cole!
26:35 HAD ME IN CHILLS. Keep up this amazing content this is honestly superb!

Why does such a talented author not have another million subscribers? 😅
very good, i like this animation, can u do the eastern front ww2 in europe one? or ww2 in europe 1939-1945?
It would be great to see a map of the following years in this format, including the Russian Civil War and the German Revolution.
bravo. Very very good sound and great map work.
Very beautiful map and soundtrack, haven’t seen this before in my life. Also, small mistake, its not the Kriegsmarine but the Seebataillon for the German Empire’s Marine Infantry, Kriegsmarine came in WW2 if I’m right.
Thanks for the kind words stephane! You are correct, I've been told about this error before, but apparently didn't note it in the video description. Thanks for the reminder!
Holy shit that terrifying..you can feel the uneasiness and dreadness and hopelessness in the map.reminds me of TNO mod
This is some really good content. Once you get a sizeable following you should consider doing some more obscure front/wars
Thanks again nat! Once Europe to 1925 is done I will either go and do a different continent or jump straight to WW2, not sure yet. Another continent will definitely have a lot of obscure wars
@@fullworldmap a différent continent would definitely be quite interesting
You can make a guide on such videos, it's very cool)
good vid
THIS LOOKS SO AMAZING, PLS tell me which software you use to animate this!!!
Amazing work. It would have been epic if in the last moments the whole of the (former) Russian empire land would have turned RED.
Germans definately played a major role in the downfall of the empire (and helped create what went after it)
I'm scared how many time it took to make this video
Great video, but the changing day/night light brings little to no extra value and it is kind of annoying on the eyes... or is it just me?
The day/night cycle was added as a proof of concept mostly, but if it subtracts from the video I will remove it. There is a poll releasing today where I will be asking people the question you posed here
Amazing art, especially the blazing effect on the changing borders. Great work 👏
🤜👑
This is a mapping format I havent seen before. Its actually quite good. Have you considered doing content on the 1800s? I would love to see Napoleonic wars in this font as well.
insanely underrated. can't wait to see the REVOLUTION!
I gotta be honest here, the quality of the visuals is outstanding. But there is one thing I really don't like: Your wannabe morality subtitles, which do not deliver any useful information about what's going on. We all know the war was bad, but this is just feels misplaced and seems like a gap filler. I'd prefer more infos about, for example, why Germany, Austria or Russia at that moment decided to do this, and so forth. Basically more background informations. This video is half an hour long and shows the detailed changes of the frontlines, but with almost no context to those.
I try to tell a narrative history, and I would like to avoid being verbose with the text. Your point will be put to a poll in a few days, if people want geopolitical analysis I will do it
I fall in love with this style of mapping❤❤❤ Actually its very refreshing such type of mapping. Keep it up brother!!
Great mapping, but the day/night blink is kinda disturbing.
Когда-то я сжигал бумагу и представлял огонь пожирающий лист как наступающие армии одной страны на другую. Наконец я увидел другого человека, который это тоже заметил и воплотил это на карте.
Война, она как огонь, всё сжигает, чего коснётся.
This is really good! hope u good more subs! looking forward to more of your vids!
Great video!
The city Khmelnytskyi got its name in 1954, before it was Proskurov
Thanks! I will note that down in the errors section
@@fullworldmap Thanks you so much!)
Masterpiece. Its so incredible ana amazing
hoi 5
This is so unique and nicely made! Good job!
One correction 7:39, the Kriegsmarine did not exist yet. It was called the Kaiserliche Marine or just the Imperial Navy.
Thanks for the heads up! It's been noted in the comments under 'known issues'
WHO PLAYS WITH DAY NIGHT MODE????????????
Not so "goes down in flames" actually.
I agree. I added that for dramatic effect mostly, I'm not politically biased on that topic
Never realized before the frontlines stagnated for this long in the east. In contrast to the western front it always seemed the east was always moving, albeit not too rapidly
Its so good
man the offensive at 18:30 made me feel like "YES, COMEBACK TIME" as the central powers were on the brink of collapse and Romania joined in, only for Russia to falter and be unable to continue the offensive and Romania is flanked by the Bulgarians, pushing them back to Moldavia.
Very nice video. what program did you use? Dont tell me its After Effects.
Cheers Tominus, I use a few programs however luckily none of them are After Effects. Your mapping video on Rome was very good btw, I've seen it a number of times
If only the bloody generals of the Tsar had actually applied themselves to suppress the revolt in Petrograd, which was the only city that mutinied, being guarded by a garrison of newly recruited troops with poor discipline. Meanwhile, the rest of the Russian army remained loyal for the sake of a final victory. Then, Germany would have collapsed by the summer of 1918, if not earlier, due to a Russian offensive, as they could no longer stand a two front warfare, they event collapsed in 1918 in real life despite not having two fronts. The Russian empire was arming itself, and the future seemed brighter. The ordinary Russians were still loyal to the Tsar, and after a victory, the prestige of the monarchy would have increased. The libtards in Petrograd who were aware of this pushed to make the "revolution," more like a coup, succeed, by treachery. I also forgot to mention that Russia, by 1917, won the Christmas battles around Riga, was industrializing fast due to the war pushing the economy to do so. The Tsar only abdicated out of love for his country and because his generals told him his abdication wouldn't have caused chaos between the soldiers but instead brought victory closer... Nicholas II, painted by Soviet propaganda as a callous tyrant, was truly the opposite and genuinely loved his country and family. He tried his best, but sadly, people seem to refuse to recognize this. There are still many Soviet myths about the fall of the Russian monarchy. As a historian, I highly suggest the newly released book "The Romanov Royal Martyrs | What Silence Could Not Conceal," which is a unique biography based strictly on primary sources. The book offers previously unpublished texts in English. Among the historians who worked on the research team together with the monastery are Helen Rappaport, Helen Azar, and Nicholas B.A. Nicholson, all noted specialists in Romanov history. It brings to light a multitude of unknown and unrevealed facts, which evince that many truths remain silenced or distorted to this day. As mentioned above, such are:
• The events of the 1905 revolution and Bloody Sunday.
• Russia’s and Tsar Nicholas’ involvement in WW1.
• The plots and conspiracies to overthrow Tsar Nicholas from his throne.
• The myth of the “Bread Revolution” and the truth about the February 1917 coup
This book can now be considered the definitive work on the Imperial Family. It puts to rest so many of the negative myths, held for more than a century and rehashed over and over again by so many so-called Western experts. At long last, the truth has been told! If you read just ONE book on Nicholas II and his family, make sure it is this one!
Wow man, you opened my eyes... Thank you! Will definitly get that book btw, love your YT channel!
I’m glad to see your channel has picked up quickly, this amount of effort deserves it
Thanks Yeast, I won't forget the favour you did me with the shoutout btw!

My country Lithuania has seen so many wars. From Vikings and Teutonic knights to first and second world wars, guerilla war. Front was going forward and back constantly in our country. You think there is a lot of history in our country, but then most of it was destroyed in all those wars. And Im afraid its not over yet.
Sadly true

Польши тогда не существовало так что это восточные земли Русской Империи
