  • Pre-blizzard footage; this was taken just mere hours before the storm hit.
Had to calibrate the transmission on the tractor to (hopefully) fix an issue regarding the reverse shuttle to be a little "jerky" when putting the transmission into reverse. Time will tell with the next few times we use it to see if it did work, or I may have to attempt another calibration. If not, then there is definitely something up.
However, I do NOT recommend performing this on your own; I highly suggest contacting your dealer and give them the symptoms that you are having with the tractor, and they can determine if a calibration could fix the issue. As for this calibration, it was for '13-'14 7600 series models with either the Dyna-4 or 6 transmission; a different series, model, or year tractor could be slightly different procedure, so make sure to contact your dealer first as they can provide you documentation on how to perform it on your own without the need to take it to a shop.
This video is simply showed for a resource and a possible fix; I will constantly reiterate to contact your dealer first because IF YOU SCREW SOMETHING UP, IT IS NOT MY FAULT, and I will not be able to assist anyone if something unexpectedly happens.
Summary of Procedure: (I highly recommend getting documentation from local dealer, as this is a very brief description of operations)
    1) Position tractor on flat ground
    2) Transmission oil temp must be between 35C (95F) and 45C (113F)
    a) You can access the temps through the Dash Control Center on the screen labeled "diagnostic screen 1"
    b) Warm up the tractor either through normal operation
    c) Engage PTO, to help aid in warming up transmission
    d) Before performing calibration, activate the PowerShuttle (forward and reverse) 10 times in each direction for 5 - 10 seconds. This allows the control units, solenoid valves, and other components to be warmed up to the temp of the transmission
    e) Also, configure the PowerShuttle progessivity settings all to "0". This is also accessed on the left-hand screen on the dash. (it is the screen with 3 adjustments, one is for forward engagement, one is for reverse engagement, and the last is for ratio shifting sensitivity, and all the settings range from -5 to +5.) This will ensure a proper calibration setting and will allow for proper sensitivity adjustments in the future.
    3) Once ready, disengage pto, place tractor in neutral, and have the Park brake released
    4) Raise engine speed to around 1500 RPM
    a) Once proper engine speed is reached, raise the PowerShuttle arm to the raised position (left of the steering wheel) and hold it there while simultaneously pressing the differential lock switch. Hold them for approximetaly 10 seconds, or until the right-hand screen on the dash (the transmission gear screen) displays "Ct"
    b) Once it displays "Ct," the tractor is ready to begin calibration. To start, simply place the PowerShuttle arm into the forward position and it will begin.
    5) While calibrating, it will continuously show "Ct" in the right instrument panel. The time it will take will be approximately 10 mintues.
    a) During calibration, it will be normal to hear the transmission shifting and other noises.
    6) Once calibration is complete, the right-hand screen will display "1A/2A" or (in my case it flashed "1E/2E" because I was in gear 2E before I started) whichever transmission ratio you were in last before starting.
    7) To save the settings, place the PowerShuttle into the neutral position, disengage the differential lock, idle tractor down, and switch the engine off the confirm the new changes.
    8) Next, validate the tractor settings by restarting the tractor and drive the tractor back and forth. Use a variety of maneuvers, including forward to reverse, reverse to forward, neutral to forward, neutral to reverse, etc. and assess the overall quality of the transmission shifting. If properly calibrated, everything should be deft and smooth for all maneuvers.
If any faults are detected, make sure all of the proper conditions were met/maintained. If not, consult your dealer for more information.
As always, take care and enjoy! "Like" or "Dislike" the video and subscribe. Leave a comment or ask a question.

can you tell me how to set the idle speed mine is running at about 1050 should be about 850
    thanks

I'm not sure how to do that, but I'll check in the book tomorrow to see if one of the diagnostic screens can adjust it.... I have a feeling it might be something that has to be reset by a dealer.
That's odd that it only goes as low as 1050...

Hi friend ... This procedure on my 7618 does not work, when the Ct appears on the screen, I put the reverser forward, it should be stopped calibrating, but it walks forward .. I did all the correct steps for the calibration

Call a dealer. Could be slightly different procedure for other models or years, or if software is different versions.
