The only thing I could think of was the bolts came loose. Odd that there is a gap when assembled as you would think it would be weaker that way. The other pulley bracket needs straightened and a gusset for added stiffness. My 2 cents.
I bet those bolts weren’t tight from factory. No much pressure there. Belt should slip to protect the reel. Really no need for a sheer assembly or clutch
@@alanlemke5603 should say in the book, unless you don't have one? If it's similar to mine it should be the same. The LH side is the belt drive for the reel, there's a smaller adjustable pulley, it is actually threaded on the shaft if you look close at it. Loosen belt tension, then there should be a bolt on said pulley holding a tiny plate. Take that out, and you should be able to rotate that half of the pulley either in or out. Be sure to not extend the pulley out past flush on the shaft or it might damage the belt during operation due to the pulley being too wide for the belt. Can only do full turns to allow that bolt and plate to be lined up again for locking it in place. Rotate the pulley in for faster speed, out for slower. That half of the pulley can also be removed and flipped the other way if needing it to go faster yet or slower, I don't remember which way is which but just have to look at it and see how the belt would run... as the pulley gets narrower, it turns the belt faster. Also for retightening the belt tension, that spring should be 8" in length when tight... I think

@@pc5569 gusset might be the best option. If it was a thicker piece of steel to begin with if it wouldn't do it as bad.

Haying is fixing. Lol. Some days…… 👍🍻
Got that beard! Harvest beard?
@@TrevorStruthers stress beard 😂 it comes and goes often
Glad to see they haven’t fixed the pulley tensioner since the 2300 series heads 🤦♂️
@@collinb1157 yep lol. As someone mentioned if making it a thicker steel or welding in a gusset will keep it from bending over time.
Nvm you shaved by the end.
How do you speed up the reel I have a new Holland hydroswing that spins too slow I would like to know how to speed it up
