Kabutari Devi- Kumaoni semi-classical Music| Virasat 2004| part-1

The Virasat Art and Heritage Festival 2004, running from November 15 to November 26, provides a platform for people to experience the richness of art, culture, and music from renowned masters of classical music and dance.
The last surviving exponent of the Kumaoni semi-classical tradition is Kabutri Devi. She sings with gay abandon the traditional folk forms of this Himalayan region. Her repertoire included Neoli, Mangal and the well- Known Hori or the songs of the Holi festival.
