    Turner Falls and the springs were very pretty even if you had to crawl like a worm to get there :) Lovin' those subscribe reminders, nailed it. We had a similar guitaring/singing sleepless night incident recently. Must be a traveling band.

      Would love to hear that story from y’all! It’s rare that we have that type of “situation” while camping. It added unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation but I guess there isnt a better way to learn!

    Look at that water! I would love to hike the trail with the caves at Turner Falls. The fact Chickasaw being a national park at one time made me do some research. Very interesting how they change park designations.

      Yea!?! Can you believe this place was a national park?!? It was really odd because it was a lovely place…but NP worthy?

    We arrived at the campsite at 10pm before. The latest we ever been. It wasn’t the best experience but but our rig could fit inside of yours so I’m sure it was a lot easier for us lol The water looked refreshing!! We would have had to call an Uber to come pick us up lol! Enjoyed the video, friends!

      Yea, we're still full-time worker bees so it's pretty common for us to leave out late on a Friday, but we're trying really hard to avoid those days. The water was so clear...but SO cold! It was crazy!!!

    I love when y'all sit down and talk to funny! Guitaring Verb- "a group of obnoxious people who may or may not know how to play a guitar, strum too loudly, and annoy everyone around them." Nailed it, the kids got confidence 😝. Backing into a site in the dark especially if you have rv's on each side of you or trees is always sketchy. Looks like a really nice and wide rv site thou! Trail seems to be really well maintained, aww the armadillo was so cute. Wow the falls are beautiful, the water looks really clear in the video was it that clear in real life? Okay at first I was thinking that was a wimpy excuse for a cave, but wow that was totally worth it. What a cool swimming area. What are you talking about looked just like mammoth cave 😂.

      All in all this wasn’t a bad place to explore there in Oklahoma. It was more than just “ok” 😂. I’m sure y’all have some wild neighbors stories with all of the parks y’all have stayed at!

    Im glad they took that water-crossing at turner falls. One year me and my friends we down to turner falls and they had a water-crossing closer to the falls. The problem with that was when it rained really hard it made it physically impossible to leave if you was camping on the mountain cause the height of the water and power going over that one spot. We where only going to stay the night and go back to little niagara butvtge water had different plans. We where stuck on that mountain for almost a week and we didn't bring much food with us cause we wasn't staying long or so we thought. We had to get off the mountain or starve and they had emergency services on the othrr side in case something happened. So the guy in front of me he made it across cause his car was heavy and low to the ground. Then it was my turn and im in a light weight pickup trying to cross this torrent of water. 2 of my friends got out and managed to make it across while im setting there nervous as all get out. Praying i don't get swept away and die in this rushing water. So i revved my truck and they got out the way and i just floored it and went thru that rushing water sideways all the way across. When i made it to the other side i told them we are never doing that again. From now on we are staying at the camp grounds close to little niagara. And we hadn't been back since. The only reason i know they changed it up is thru google maps. We almost died cause someone wanted a water-crossing in front of the falls it was 60 or 70 feet from the water fall. When it had rained the water was shooting out almost to the crossing from the very top.

    Are you saying that you have never been "guitaring" late at night before? Also, Is that an Airstream parked behind you in the beginning of the video? I saw something shiny. 😀 Last time we were there we saw SOOOO many spiders in the trees. Did you see them at night? They look like they are flying.

    • @ConsidertheWonders
      @ConsidertheWonders  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Airstream, yes. Guitaring like the Von Trapp family..hard pass. Maybe our old age has conditioned us to expect way too much…”young whipper snappers with their music up loud”! 🤩😂. No spiders on this trip..thank goodness 🥺

    It is a shame this (platt) is no longer a national park but that giant horseshoe in Missouri is. How did that happen?

    • @ConsidertheWonders
      @ConsidertheWonders  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We’re just glad it’s still available and that it’s still managed by the National Park Service. They preserve it well❤️

      @@ConsidertheWonders Yeah, but come on, that's just a bent piece of metal. Literally the entire park is man made. There isn't one thing that is natural about it. Even the river isn't its natural state anymore. If that can be a park anything can. Congress can't say anything about his place not being big enough or natural enough to be a national park if that thing that looks like it was Bender from Futurama's practice bar can be a national park.
