Great video Barry, these aftermarket parts can be so frustrating because most things have to be modified. For the bolts that go through the carpet, I always use a scribe to find the hole, then use a soldering iron to make the hole larger and it kind of fuses the carpet threads to prevent any raveling of the carpet. Keep it up, car is looking great.

Once you find the holes in the carpet, a pointed soldering iron works well to make a nice clean hole.

Hi Barry. Thanks for the video. And yet another modification to parts. You would think you'd be able to use existing hardware. I've been making a lot of adjustments and mods lately, forget about just trying to restore the car. I don't understand why some parts just can't fit

Since I bought a 3 point harnesses as well I decided to visit the site and looked at comments and this has been an issue all the way back to 2016 with complaints that the original bolts do not work although it says right in the description "keeping your factory mounting hardware" Thank you for heads up so I can "expect" this problem.

Thanks for the video. It's very helpful to see the installation process. I have seat extenders on the drivers side which positions the seat back about two inches. Do you think the retractor will interfere with the seat?

The retractable part does not share the same bolt hole. It needs to be installed at a 90 degree angle below the shoulder. If you share the bolt hole, it will be difficult to move the seats back, as well as be dangerous.

Wonder how easy it would be to install that in a 67 that did not have the shoulder belts?? For the holes in the carpet, I used a heated screwdriver to burn through the carpet once I found the holes. It keeps the carpet from unraveling.

You likely do not have the upper mount boss. It would have to be added.

@@JoDaddysGarage That is what I figured. Not worth messing up an original headliner that is in great shape.

Why didn't you show what the seatbelt looks like in use?

      I didn’t think about it.

Ya that would have been nice to actually see it functioning. That was the only reason I clicked on the video.
