I was dating a guy for 6 months, i thought everything was going well and starting to settle into the relationship, as we had both had said we loved each other. He told me he was taking a 2 week holiday. I expected to hear back from him but didn't. I left it another 2 weeks and called to be told he'd met someone else. I don't have a great track record with men. It's taken me a really long time to get over the trauma of men, marriage, rape, cheating and narcissism. I've done a lot of inner work and I finally feel like I'm ready to date 22+ years after my divorce, so I'm taking note of your advice which is really helpful as I'm out of my depth with dating since I haven't been on one since the 1980's and my fear factor is still high around stepping out and giving it another go.
