I've lived in Italy for just over 3 years and sometimes i forget how beautiful it is, seeing this country through your eyes, and your passion for its beauty is truly refreshing.

I understand that not everyone has the time to stay more than a week, but most people stay for just one or two days and cannot really live the city for how it is and cannot support the many small businesses that are disappearing to leave space to chains and tourist shops. After getting an art history degree, I hope you can feel at home even if it's your first time here!

I live in Santo Spirito so I’d say anything around there, Cammillo is my fav spot to eat even if it’s a bit pricey, La casalinga is very good and cheap, 5eCinque if you wanna eat vegan, le Volpi e l’Uva for a glass of wine and a crostone. Check out Todo Modo, it’s my favorite bookshop in Florence. Or just sit in Piazza Santo Spirito drinking a coffee and read a book :))

Ahh I’ve been feeling this same way! It’s so hard to remember to prioritise art and creativity when the world screams “productivity” and “being busy”. It’s definitely such a nice feeling to be realigned with your creativity after going through a rut though
What a dream!! I also studied art history at university and had the opportunity to visit Florence before I graduated. It was so surreal to see pieces that I had learned about in person. I can't even imagine just how completely magical it would be to learn to paint in Florence where so many great painters/artists refined their skills 🤩

Just started the video and it already warmed my heart. This is my dream. I want go study abroad in italy, study art and live a calm yet lively life. A part of me is scared if I'll ever achieve that goal as im currently behind in some work and heading to my junior (11th) year of high school but I hope, pray, and beg that I will. I hope that I'm talented enough to get accepted and to graduate on time. Time will tell, Maybe in a few years I'll come back to this video, watch it with a smile and reply with an update to myself.
you really should check out the restaurant l'brindellone. It's also a very cheap and authentic Italian place. It isn't as cozy but definitely worth it when in Florence and living on a budget. I really recommend ordering truffel pasta if you're in to that! It was one of the best ones I've ever eaten!!
